    You can easily cook frozen meat right in the the Instant Pot.
    Get all the tips and troubleshooting here: amindfullmom.com/instant-pot-...
    This works best with a flat package of ground meat (1-2 inches thick)
    Directions:
    Cover bottom of pot with 1 1/2 cup cold water. Add in trivet and place frozen or fresh ground meat directly on trivet.
    Put the lid on the Pressure Cooker and turn valve to seal.
    Set to High Pressure for 20 minutes.
    Once finished cooking, do a quick release and then with pot holders, carefully remove trivet from Instant Pot.
    Discard cooking liquid and grease and break up ground beef using a spatula into desired size. Use as desired.

    If you need to multitask this instant method could be helpful. However, for fastest method, I can thaw ground beef in the microwave in 7.5 minutes and I can fry it on the stove in another 7. Plus I break up the meat as it cooks, which technically is not included in those 20 minutes of instant pot time.

    Found you appear again searching for frozen chuck roast pressure pot cooking since I've made with the Power Pressure XL before and figured I'd look online to see how others are doing. I just cleaned the "new" used Mueller 10 in 1 Pro I invested in that I found for ~$45 on eBay from a seller not far down the road from me and whom I've purchased from before, madcheatah. I totally do the repackaging of most all my multi-serving portions meat into freezer bags where I'm thinking I can improve to use freezer paper to wrap the portions, where now I've been and am still using saran wrap. Neat how the frozen meat turns out really moist and juicy. I do a butter with onions saute'd to golden brown and then add carrots and celery typically in with the roast to cook. Seems messier the way I do. I like your directions and am thinking I might try. Thanks for sharing!

    Is meat expected to be dry when using this method? What if you don't add water? Not safe? I tried cooking this way, but it tastes like "steamed meat", which it is right ? It will always have dry texture ? Thx.

    • @AMindFullMom
      @AMindFullMom  Před rokem +1

      It shouldn't be dried out. Instead it should be cooked through and a bit "steamed" break it up and add spices and you are good to go. Just a reminder to keep the meat on a trivet about the water. You need the water, like you said, but you don't want the ground meat in the water.
