Huhhh? This was something I did since very early in my playthrough... in fact I thought there was some kind of indication that you can do this early on. Maybe they added it or something.
Really good run, mate! I'm sure you can cut down even more time once you optimize movement in the overworld (since you got stuck on corners few times) and optimize menuing better. Overall, solid run and I can't wait to see more of OT2 speedruns!
Either I take a long time to get ready for work, or this speedrun is so fast that I can't even get ready before the lad smacks Galdera harder than I ever could in my 70hr save file.
A wrong order on the character turn can ruin a run right?? As far as I know, even though you can manipulate it with speed, there's always an RNG factor. Very nice run btw. Great job!
This is insane, i am curious why sometimes you slow down and stop sprinting in some wild areas? Also why the random changes from day to night in different paths?
idk if this is common knowledge but when using path actions you can skip their little quip by like using steal and then scrolling to another path action then exit and you'd skip the dialogue
thats crazy impressive, and it took me 74hrs just to beat that LMFAO. and i thought the solo galdera was crazy good. this was even crazieer lol. Edit: wow just noticed you are from SG as well. nice!
there was a point where you Challenged with Hikari then fled immediately, does that do anything or did you mean to Mug them but accidentally chose the wrong path option? sorry, I couldn't find the time stamp because it's all happening too fast lol
I think it's to reset the RNG of area encounters. Leaving and then re-entering an area does the same thing, and I assume it also works like that for entering a battle (whether it's from path actions or not) and leaving.
@@shoebaby bruh , it took me 60 hours top to get to galdera, and 20 extra hours grinding small nuts because I'd put it on the wrong characters to "balanced" them up from city octopuff and desert octopuff for fortifying and speed nuts respectively, so I could both Max Aeber and alpione on throne and Hikari for a quick sendoff
If you don’t mind me asking, why’d you skip that one octopuff? Wouldn’t it have shaved off some time grinding? (This was very fun to watch btw! I loved it and cant wait for some of it to be explained)
Here are all the damage multipliers Osvald gets: 2 Fire boosting weapons = 1.6x Critical Scope = 1.25x Finisher's Claws = 1.5x Price of Power = 2x Peak Performance = 1.5x Peacock Strut = 1.5x Elemental Def. Down = 1.5x Latent Power = 2x
Wow very impressive, I can't make galdera. Wanted to test your build, unfortunately the video runs too fast or you act fast :) could you show me your build with skills? cool run😊😮
If you look up galdy runs in 2, it is slightly possible you can spam BP concoct with Castti and damage with Throné and Osvald, using Provoke Beasts with Ochette to break
This strategy helped me get to the second phase but then I lost because my build for phase 2 is different and overpower though Hikari can be, he’s not Olberic with Warmaster. Edit - Figured it out finally beat him again :D
Siempre quise derrotar a Galdera en el 1 viendo tu estrategia pero lastimosamente está en inglés. Lástima que casi no hay videos en español sobre esos juegos ☹️
100% this game and I'm only now learning you can skip travel to the ship ports. Great run
Same lmao
Huhhh? This was something I did since very early in my playthrough... in fact I thought there was some kind of indication that you can do this early on. Maybe they added it or something.
this is impressive! good work! I will be waiting for the commentary
Thank you!
I've been waiting for octopath speedruns again
Aaaaa I was waiting for this! Hope to see more Octo2 runs in the future!
I can’t even get to the second phase of galdera😭
Just found this video after having beaten Galdera. Love the fact that you use Osvald for damage and not just another Aelfric/item bot
Really good run, mate!

yooo the return of the king 😎😎😎 i was thinking about what your run might look like when i was playing through the game
This is like a 3rd of the time for the octopath 1 galdera speed run. Time to see how my man did it
Loved the game, loving this run!
The legend is backkkkk legoooo
Just beat 100 percent the game today and I come across this uploaded a couple hours ago lol
Either I take a long time to get ready for work, or this speedrun is so fast that I can't even get ready before the lad smacks Galdera harder than I ever could in my 70hr save file.
Who would have thought that Galdera takes this much shorter in the sequel. Also how long does it take to tear Vide a new one huh?
Current WR for Any% is 2:39. The category is longer because you have to finish all the stories, but in Galdera you don't!
Octopath Developer hate this run :D hahaha 4 years of programming and just got finished in 1:18:26. Respect! Well done!
45:32 D: rip dancers blade
How do you fight so fast?!
You’re really amazing.
dafak. I couldn't even beat this boss after playing 60+ hours. And this guy just easily beat it in an hour. Insane dude!
That’s legit 100x effectiveness gameplay
Legendary
Man this game may even be more broken than the first game. The fast combat feature alone makes speedrunning this game all the more clean.
Even just avoiding the random encounters this much is impossible.
A wrong order on the character turn can ruin a run right?? As far as I know, even though you can manipulate it with speed, there's always an RNG factor.

Trying to avoid encounters by walking. Some encounters are also fixed at night like Conning Creek.
I wanna see what happens if you go to galdera without all 8 travelers
Mind blown
idk if this is common knowledge but when using path actions you can skip their little quip by like using steal and then scrolling to another path action then exit and you'd skip the dialogue
Yes I didn't know about it at the time.

I'm using Google Translate, so I'm sorry if I didn't understand.
What happens if Temenos is faster than Hikari and Casty?
Then unfortunately you cannot win and you have to retry.
Impressive
This is insane. XD

I thought it took you 1hours to beat galdera ☠️
same 💀

52:35 I've seen worse smeffets

Probably? I was autopiloting during that section and I usually skip that encounter so by the time I thought about killing it I'd already fled lol.
@@quadraaceps OOH i see, thats hilarious
mind explaining how you deal this insane amount of dmg with osvald? i perhaps didnt catch on.
Here are all the damage multipliers Osvald gets:
2 Fire boosting weapons = 1.6x
Critical Scope = 1.25x
Finisher's Claws = 1.5x
Price of Power = 2x
Peak Performance = 1.5x
Peacock Strut = 1.5x
Elemental Def. Down = 1.5x
Latent Power = 2x
Damn!!!

Stage 2 you Sealticges limb from limb and that’s it
How the hell do you have Totems for your characters
How do you speed up the game globally?
Cool
When you are recruiting Osvaldo in game is he dead
holy fuck...
No way
Was this on the Switch version ?
WOW 😳😳🦾🥳
how did you hit 50 000 at this lvl ?
Already wtf
8 hours into this game and still left to recruit 1 more character. After watching this run, I have uninstalled Octopath 2.
So you did in hour and an a half that which took me 90 to do... 😂
This strategy helped me get to the second phase but then I lost because my build for phase 2 is different and overpower though Hikari can be, he’s not Olberic with Warmaster.
Edit - Figured it out finally beat him again :D
Play this game 40 hours then watch your video to clear game on youtube :))
However if you do 4x 99,999 hits TO Galdera PER form it has the battle PER form it has won't even last for like 30 seconds ie 1 TURN each.
Siempre quise derrotar a Galdera en el 1 viendo tu estrategia pero lastimosamente está en inglés. Lástima que casi no hay videos en español sobre esos juegos ☹️
Tengo la solución querido amigo, aprende ingles
