Dune OR Zidoo Which Realtek Media Player To Purchase?

These are not high end media players in my personal opinion but they do a solid job for what they are worth.

I've been using Dune HD for over 10 years. My 1st one was was Dune HD Base 3.0 then upgraded to Dune HD Pro 4K Plus and been very happy with it. When I first got it there wasn't many choices for media players as there are now. I like that is plays .iso files (dvd & Bluray) as if you have a disc inserted. and also 3d bluray iso's and 3d sbs and tb since my tv is a 80 inch passive 3d tv.

I've ordered the Dune HD Real Vision 4K Plus. Managed to find one cheaper than a brand new Z9X Pro so had to go for it.
I would have preferred the Zidoo Z9X Pro but, as I will be using 3D and 4K ISO files, I don't want to risk the headache of the Zidoo refusing to play them.
Hopefully, the 3D picture quality on the Dune will be as good as the Zidoo.

Pein, You are killing it. Keep up the good reviews. I chose the newer Dune Player. Dune HD Premier 4K Pro. It uses the Amlogic processor. It is just as good as the Realtec processor on my Zappiti NEO. The Dune HD Premier 4K Pro does not have any issues playing any of my ripped content on my two NAS. Thanks for your help.

Nice comparison... I hope you get your USB capture working again as that'll be an easier way to show these off.
Thanks for viewing using a tripod setup for the time being just is easier now only because I will be doing a lot of tv videos coming soon.
I'm considering switching from .mkv to .iso, which one do you think would be better for playing the .iso if I do make that switch?

@@pein3480 Perfect, Thanks! I'm not sure I want to switch to .iso but I think it's definitely worth experimenting with. I just got DVDFab but of course it tells me my 4K drive isn't compatible and can't be firmware downgraded. This Pioneer drive works fine with MakeMKV but for some reason DVDFab doesn't like it.
My biggest issue with my ZidooZ9X, is that it doesn't play isos or full menus very well. Does the Dune handle those much better?
Reportedly yes Dune handles it alot better just do your own research to find what model fits your situation.
Why did you discontinue the Nas
I'm using the nas to back up content from my pc it's no longer needed for this type of use. Watch my prior videos to get more info on that.

Thanks for reply. I have one more question i want to use the dts x but my tv dont support it i a have s90c to so i could connect it to sounbar and then will it work? And if yes my soubar has only 2.0 hdmi so will splitter help if i conect it with the earc hdmi or that doesn't work to pass better signal then the 2.0 or the sound will be worse😢
