Romsdalseggen Hiking Trail | The scenic yet unforgiving hike in Norway

- Romsdalseggen is one of the world's most scenic hike according to Lonely Planet and it's easy to understand why. This 10.3-km long hike takes you along some of Norway's most dramatic mountain peaks in the area of Åndalsnes, Norway's mountaineering capital. Don't be fooled by its beauty though, because the trail is so unforgiving with super steep ascend and descend. But for now, please enjoy this video with the amazing view of Romsdalseggen 😀😀
Some tips and practical information:
-Trail start location: maps.app.goo.gl/SXUj5ZTyYxRJ6...

-To get to the starting point, take the bus (price: NOK 250 per person) from Åndalsnes center at Norwegian Mountaineering Center (location: maps.app.goo.gl/pGaWLw4yGd3hR...) and the information can be found in its website (tindesenteret.no/)
-There is a free parking nearby at: maps.app.goo.gl/Dmk9scv7JivWQ...
-You can of course go to the starting poing by car and it costs NOK 100, but then when you reach Åndalsnes you will need to arrange a private transport back to your car since the bus only runs in the morning
-At Åndalsnes you can find accommodation options
-The hike has very steep ascend and descend in the beginning and the end, so it tends to be heavy on the knees
-The ridge can be quite exposed so please exercise a lot of caution

Yes indeed you can.. but I think it's gonna be slightly more difficult and you have to time your arrival at the other side to be able to catch the bus back to Andalsnes..

Thank you. Glad that ypu like the video 😁 We wore hiking shoes, Salomon x-ultra3GTX (for man) and Mammut (low ankle, for woman. I dont remember the type 😅)

Hey... wow, it's really nice that you are going there tomorrow. How is the weather in Norway now? No, no...it's not scary at all. You will be rewarded with beautiful view of Åndalsness from the summit. You will enjoy it. Just a small tips, wear a knee support if you have one, cz 1km descend was the toughest part. Well, I enjoyed the descend but my partner felt the pressure on her knee for a couple of days. 😅😅

Hahaha... That sounds familiar. Tammy also complained a lot in some (if not most) of the hike. But, when she reached the top, the complaints stop and turned into WOW. An advice, if you do this trail with your girlfriend, just bear with the complaints for a couple km. Also say nothing else than yes, sorry, i know, and almost there. Hahaha...
