Cheers mate - power steering was easy just used the bmw fitting on the pump and joined it to the land rover go line. Aircon was a bit harder just because I had my own system in place but had a hose guy come out and he made up a fitting to connect the bmw ac lines to mine - I had a go but too difficult to find all the correct size fittings and thought it be best left to the pro as he had everything there to try out - came good in end though

Thanks Marty - the only things I bought was the adapter plate which is real good quality off syncro gearboxes in uk . And had my ecu off wiseman engineering which has the ews delete and the speed sensor delete. Everything else is pretty much made up by myself mounts etc

😂 it is pretty good weather here in Aus but also miss Wales 🏴, not so much the constant rain but we had some good Summers back there - good times
have you got a list of what you have used my heads battered trying to figure out what i need as i know nowt about all the diffrent engines and boxes etc and i bet am not alone i have the knowledge to put it all together just dont know what i need can you help cheers graham
I went through the same thing, what I ended up doing was getting an x5 2004 and took everything from that - engine and transmission were already together so no issues there , ecu and ews, all wiring but I cut out what I didn’t need, all I needed to buy was the adapter plate for my lt230 transfer case , and had a ecu sent over which had speed signal delete and map . Made it a lot easier having a complete donor car which I had already test driven
@@paulbaker7015 no probs i get ya the are cheap as chips x5's so its the old ugly shaped one i need i cant stand the look of them but engine is good were did you get adapter plate for box somone said to me you cant get them you can only get them for the newer one cheers graham
No think it fits all Zf6hp boxes the 26 26x and 28 I believe all the same
were do you get speed sensor from to control when the box shifts as it will need to get that info from somwere @@paulbaker7015forgot to ask what transfer box you using defender or disco box ive got both was thinking of using the disco one give it longer legs as its gonna have a boat load of torque

Not me mate but there is a few companies doing them - I had mine from syncro gearboxes in uk, 👍

@@paulbaker7015 I’ve got an 80 series cruiser that has a 5.8 Isuzu six cylinder truck engine in it that I’m finding hard to part with ha ha I’ve had it for tenish years now i think.but apparently i can only own so many toys sheesh she can be a kill joy lol. I would love to drop an m57 in mrs d1 disco how do you recon the 100” wheel base would cope with a zf auto from the Beamer. What diner did you use ?? If you had to do it again would you use the same
