Our written review content will be joining our in-depth CZcams video reviews! We are beginning to convert our scripts and videos into articles (again) alongside a brand new website, and it was built by Wendell of @Level1Techs to be ULTRA fast, clean, and packed with good content. The articles will run about a week behind our CZcams videos because we need to keep focus on video first, but that's because we decided to make the website entirely ad-free. That means the only promotions on there are our own, for our own store or Patreon, and there are ZERO third-party banner advertisements or auto-play videos. Thanks to a mix of CZcams and other revenue streams, like our store, affiliate, and Patreon, we are able to focus on user experience for the written reviews.

We're thrilled to bring these back, as they allow us to make it easier for everyone to search for old content (since YT isn't always great for that), they make it easier to find and share charts and information for products for consumers, and it'll also help for people who just do better with reading than they might for video. The articles are also image-heavy, so you get a unique benefit of our primary focus being on video: We have tons of great visual assets, so we can make excellent written + photographic guides to building gaming PCs or installing coolers.

And, yeah, I'll echo OP's sentiment - huge overlap in attitude between TB and GN and it means I often end up watching GN videos on things I'm not even remotely interested in, just because I know there'll still be interesting stuff in there.

I love everything about this! Not long ago, I was looking over your site and was lamenting that there weren't more written reviews… and that the site was kinda awkward to navigate.
And thanks for giving a bit of an overview on the backend stuff. I've dabbled in web dev stuff here and there over the last, well, oh god, 15+ years now? Nothing serious-I despise the tangled mess that is web dev, even though it's improved over those years-but enough to have some understanding and experience with what was talked about. I even remember messing around with Joomla back when it was a standard CMS contender.
Thanks for being so consumer and user-focused. Makes me glad I just recently picked up a mod mat, project mat, and toolkit. They're all fantastic, and they are some of the few things I have where I'm actually proud of where they came from. Keep up the excellent work, and thanks for sharing the bit about your dad. I lost mine right at the start of 2020. It's interesting the things a person ends up holding on to as a bit of a connection to them.

I started watching you guys around 2020 and occasionally I'd hop over to the website to try and see some if some of the reviews were available in text format so that I could quickly reference a bit of info that I wanted, only to find it wasn't there. I was disappointed by this, along with none of the hard hitting journalistic pieces being put on the site as I felt it was honestly in line with the type of content you guys make and your philosophy in how you approach disseminating information.
So personally, I am SUPER happy to see the website being revamped and I really hope y'all stick with it. Because I think you're write; more and more, written format is less and less valued in today's modern age. And maybe this is just me showing my age at this point(and also the fact that I'm a writer myself), but I find that to be a real shame. So it very much excites me to now see my fav tech channel working to try and cinch the hemorrhage and fight back against this trend.

The new website looks - and behaves - fantastic! One request/suggestion: for links to external web pages, maybe consider having them open in a new tab/window so that folks can check out those other pages without losing their place on your site.

Really appreciate you going back to it. No ads is a nice bonus. And importantly, it's always nice to see Wendell pop up. Love that guy.

Great news all around. Search engines are not as useful as they once were with so much information and knowledge only existing in video format, or locked away in a random discord general chat 3 years ago. Not to mention the rise of AI articles that have zero information clogging up results. With the quality GN outputs, they could potentially lead google search results.

It makes me happy to see a website that is actually fast. The modern web has so much potential that gets strangled under 3rd party dependencies (mostly from ad networks) that choke all the perf, so seeing you own your website top to bottom and see the real performance benefits from doing so is really heartening. Great work 💖

THANK YOU! So often, I have to go back to a video to get reacquainted with a topic so I can pass on advice to someone I know who isn't as tech savvy. Traversing through the many videos looking for the one that contains the information I remember originally viewing can be a nightmare. Plus, I have to rewatch to reinterpret the message, making it that much more cumbersome. Simply being able to go to the website, quickly find and read the information I already know I'm looking for will be so much easier.
Over the years, I made attempts to use the website and it really was lacking, especially compared to how high quality the videos had been getting, but I do love that it all started with your dad's encouragement. The message you have on the website is really touching, and it's clear that the website was still in your mind.

Steve I am so sorry, I had no idea you had lost your dad... Im sure you know this and have been time a hundred times before but Its nice to be reminded every once and awhile. Steve the amount of dedication, love, and effort you put into not just your journalism but your whole brand/company. Looking back 10+ years ago to today so much has changed but one thing has always stayed the same, you. You have always stayed true to yourself and your followers even if that was the road less taken or the more difficult and painful path. You are by far my favorite CZcamsr/Content Creator and honestly an inspiration to do what I love and what im interested in. This I can 100% get behind because I hate ad’s on websites these days that are extremely intrusive and sometimes I would rather read something tech rather than watch/listen to it. Especially when it’s a step by step process because I hate having to pause and play a video multiple times to get something done.

Thank you so much for putting the effort into a WRITTEN site. I've complained about the illiteracy of people over the last 20+ years increasing due to SMS/Text/Video only consumption and still believe that this 'trend' is what is also causing the complete demise of cognitive ability and critical thinking skills. Being in the tech industry I'm amazed at even how many of the new employees won't/can't read tech manuals and instead just go to a video and thus miss 99% of WHY something is done. As a patron to GN I'm glad you're making this effort.
