nice, my favourite streamer. gotta try and tie one at some stage, looks doable.
Give it a go and you'll have it down in no time!
This is a great fly for night time fishing at the Rotorua stream mouths, just minus the bead or with a lumo plastic bead. Nice vid.
Thanks Johan. That’s good to know. Great thing about them is the variations you can play with.
Hi John, I use to farm just above Hamurana and would fish the river mouth at night between 10 - 12. Any pattern using these feathers worked well and you don’t need the bead, just use an intermediate line as its not very deep, you just have to have the right position to the left of the rip. If there are no anglers in front of you, you don’t need to go out very far. There is a small 18” dip just 20 ft out where the fish stay. If you get there and find 30 anglers in front and out as far as they can be in the lake, don’t fret, fish the anglers heels as the fish will move through them! Harera..
@@pierevojzola9737 thanks for the tip. I used to fish mainly the Ngongotaha mouth. I will definitely have to go give the Hamurana a go now with this detailed info.
Great video dude. 👌
Thanks bro! Been a while between videos but back into it!
On The Fly NZ that’s the one bro . You still been out slaying ???
Yea I’ve managed to do a bit. Got into the backcountry last weekend which was nice 🤙
