The Narrator, Andrea Parsneau, does a fantastic job with this series. I am truly blown away by the amount of voices she can utilize! I am so jealous of how far you are into the series; keep it up!
Omg!! This book was GRUELING!!! I had *really* hoped that Lakin would side WITH the goblins! It tore my heart out that they were fighting/dying. I will begin The Wind Runner soon, and I hope your TWI content continues!
I can't imagine how upset Erin is going to be when she realizes they ended up killing a lot the goblins that fought for them. I know I couldn't forgive something like that...Not for a looooong time anyway.
You probably know by now. But the next book....oof. I listened to the audiobook while at work, and I was just tearing up non stop for hours. And I agree, my view of a lot of the characters changed. And it cemented or flipped how I feel about a lot of them. Not well to say the least.
I always thought there should be more TWI content out there! Keep them coming, I am currently on volume 7 of the serial, and I distinctly remember how great book9/vol5 was. Goblin arc is my favorite arc so far!
Predictions for the future of the series? I gave up trying to predict where this series is going at about book 4. Now I just enjoy the wild ride. When a new chapter comes out, my thoughts are, "Who am I visiting today?"
Haha, that is a god mindset to keep! if you are not hoping for something specific, you can not be disappointed. I completely agree with you hat this series is almost impossible to predict. Pirate does a great job of subverting expectations.
That "Goblins are like native american" comment really open my eyes. PirateAba always incorporate IRL representation in their work. I am Southeast Asian so i didnt really connect the dots. Now that i heard you say it. Ofcourse, they are. Damn great content dude.
I was hoping someone would mention this! I definitely did not want to overstep, but I had to say something because it felt so intentional from Pirate, and I had not heard another Booktuber talking about it. I will have to keep an eye out for IRL connections in future books now that you mention it!
SPOILERS Linkin seems like he's succumbing to his class. He definitely went through a negative character arc. I think the biggest disadvantage of engaging with the class system is that it changes your personality. I think that's the scariest thing about this world (losing agency to the class and skill system) Im going to wait until volume 6 is out fully in audiobook before continuing. The goblins are the best! Sad to see some of them go.
Diomedes... I never thought about the class system taking control over characters autonomy. That is such an interesting idea. Might need to make a video on that one day if you don't mind! That would explain alot about Ryoka relationship with classes. Something to ponder on definitely!
@@FantasyInk please do :) I think it's the end game of the series. Why her choice matters to the overall plot of the story. I think the biggest demonstrations of this theory are how the florist suddenly became more monstrous, the clown losing control, and the other one is Lionette. Her character arc came pretty fast after she started gaining levels outside of princess. I'm only at this point in the series, so I haven't noticed anything else.

I completely agree. Pirate puts so much work into the Goblin culture as a whole and really makes them come to life!

I had the same feelings about Linkin's character. I had a few issues with this book but overall this is very good.
It's such a shame, because he had really great potential. Though, I still have alot more books o read, so maybe he turns it around!
