with your talents, they would have made a full-length film about martial arts. serious, with meaning and plot. I think you would have succeeded.
After seeing Andy and Brian in Paper Tigers (2020) ,i google them and i realize they're part of stunt team in Shang Chi and the Legend of Ten Rings and many other movies and that's just made me nothing but satisfied.

Throughout the entire video I had a smile on my face guys haha, the fantastic work environment you had there is contagious, and it is always very pleasant to see how you work on the details, that artisan aspect of your work philosophy and the magnificent artistic ability to bring new elements to the scene and improvise when is required.
Oh, and Brian is a great cameraman! XD, despite not being able to participate in the action scenes at the moment, he continues to work and with the motivation on fire! I'm sure I'll see him doing his stunts again soon!

It's cool watching the skills. The story line or plot can be the icing on the cake - icing needs to match or compliment the cake. e.g. Rey 'Skywalker' plot line destroyed the franchise because of earlier story line. You can always up the game - just look at Dragonball Z - but story line...

I still don't get why they use powder when they hit each other in movies.
Because it gives a feeling that the blow is more spectacular and solid. There is no logical or scientific reasoning about it, in the same way that the punches in real life do not sound like in the movies, the sound added in the movies is simply to add spectacularity, the same is for the dust in these scenes, or the onomatopoeias in comics... this things just are resources to reinforce the visual narrative hehe.
@@nelnanbanjin4470 but why only in martial arts movies they do it? A typical hollywood fight scene has combat but they don't use powder. Is it something dedicated to Asian films?
@@QualityEJCYeah, It is like the difference between the American comic and the Japanese Manga, both are stories told in vignettes, but there are differences in certain resources, such as onomatopoeia or the reading direction, it is something that effectively arises in the visual language of these productions (as for example the American and Chinese productions), they follow some different strategies for visual narration, but objective in the purpose, to add more spectacularity in the scenes.
