- Don't yell at me about damaging the siren. Small sticks will not hurt the amount of aluminum there is, and it is my siren, I can do what I want with it.
Kinda pointless video of an air raid siren of the dangers of any mechanical siren, the distance between the impeller and stator is from .040-060 of an inch, even spinning slowly can pose great damage. Demonstrated with a few sticks
Keep hands clear of the openings on the stator as it sliced the stick up like a wood chipper
NOTE: do NOT reupload this or ANY of my videos on YT, Meta platforms, or TikTok for your views without permission and giving credit to the original owner. Any violators WILL BE REPORTED. - Věda a technologie

"They were valiant heroes showing us siren safety".
Very Nice Video! That's not damaging the siren at all, It's helping you chip wood!
Siren rotors are called "choppers" for a reason...
This isn't a pointless video at all. 👍👌
My grandmother lost two fingers off her left hand because of the STH-10 siren. The ice cream stand in our town was on fire and the siren started to go off. My grandmother climbed the pole and stuck her hand up into the air intake, and two of her fingers were cut off at the middle knuckle. At church the following Sunday, one of the nuns told us that there was supposed to be a protective screen at the opening of the air intake, so now my family is suing Federal Signal. This is a very dangerous situation, especially for the elderly,, because anyone could climb the pole when the siren is operating and stick their hand up into the air intake. When we win the lawsuit, I'm buying all new furniture.
@@st.michael4511 - I'm sorry to say but it's your grandmother who wasn't supposed to climb up the pole. Protective screen aside, nothing ever, placed up high on a pole, post or a pylon, should be approached by climbing up for whatever reason, by an unauthorized person. Would you sue the electric company if she happens to climb up on an electric pole? I mean, wtf? They could just as much, rightfully so, sue anyone climbing up, because the pole itself is *private property area* , as any kinda equipment placed on poles would be behind a fence, or locked away in a cabinet etc., were they placed on the ground.
Their lawyer and the judge better not take all these into consideration. And that, your grandmother was probably unattended when that happened.
@St. Michael is this some sort of joke? Because it is a damn funny one!
@Oregonian_Warning_Sirens
Yes LOL (Thanks)
I love Air raids Like this one, I also heard that the STH-10 Has the longest spindown in the world!
They don't call it a chopper for nothing. 🤣
Exactly
For people who are mad at him for putting a stick in it aluminum or steel is a LOT harder than a little stick also what he said about restoring it.
Unfortunately I still have been around to restore it yet. Until I do, it’s my loud wood chipper🤣
I've always wanted to see a stick or something stuck in a slot while spinning...
This shouldn't just be a siren safety tip, this should also be a fan safety tip.
True
loudest wood chipper.
Loved it! I love air raid sirens! You should do videos on her when you start the restoration! Great video buddy!
I definitely will :) I just have not done any progress on it since I don't have a bead blaster and the proper space to do the work, hopefully soon
“Chopper”
Dam that bell next to the STH10 is cool.
Great tip for anyone who wants to be a siren owner
Good to know! wouldn't want my finger sliced like a hotdog!
Were did you get the STH?
Does anyone know how to make a hand crank rotation box?
BOJANGLES -not- a battery powered drill will do the job just as good, if not better
That gives me true anxiety even when its slow
Did you get this at west shore services?
An sth-10 siren wood chipper
Didn't that happen to some of the workers at Decot?
2:54 AvE?
imagine putting this at full speed
I will get one for Christmas
Did that STH-10 come from Port Ewen?
Siren Master17 as far as I’m aware of, it came from a firehouse in New Jersey, I got it at the Columbus flea market
How did you get that one
West shore services??
He bought it at a flea market.
@@AltofLoneStarSirenProductions i noticed
The thing rlly is a chopper!
How old is the sdh 10
Dates back to 1954
1:24 it’s chopping like a scissors
crunchy
Yikes!, i used to work with a guy that had ends of several fingers missing, he was 100 % deaf, and stuck his hand in a running lawnmower to clean out a clog in the discharge chute.
That must hurt at 1:34
Turn this into a stick chopper and cover the other holes.
Do a 100 mph spin
I thought you didn’t have these anymore
unfortunately I have done no progress so I have not done any new videos on it, I could do another drill run, with hopefully a faster drill
Nick Silcox I see
Nick Silcox how many sirens do you have
Just cut my finger in the port of my vixen horns ms1000sm. Fricking hell it hurts, especially with all the grease in the wound. Don't be an idiot kids.
