One of the best, if not the best guitar reviews, and i think i watched A LOT of them. Especially the neck explanation part with comparisons to other necks. The intro piece reminded me of Pete Thorn type production and composition, loved it. Subbed, liked and all, well done, sir.

Great review! Very thorough. Watching from Upstate Née York. Ibanez fan here. Especially my 1990 American Master MA3HH. Was curious about cort guitars because I remembered back in the 90s they were total crap. Nice to see the quality had improved!

As most of the others have mentioned, this is one of the best detailed review of a guitar. Hope you do it to the other guitars from Solar, LTD/ESP, Chapman and other models of Cort.

@@MaxSoloMusic Hi Max! Just dropping by to say thank you for helping me to decide to buy this guitar with your review. I got KX300 the non-etched version and pretty much everything you said was spot on!
The sound is fantastic (great pups and body material), Super 77 really punches above its weight. The body and fretwork finishes are a bit rough but I can live with that. My only issues are the neck which is too thick for my hands, and the chrome tuners/bridge which somehow get corroded easily.

Temple Tx. Found the channel looking for reviews of guitars. Favorite guitars are les Paul Traditional, Jackson soloist, Michael Kelly Hex Deluxe and Harley Benton DC 550. The HB is brand new and was impressed with how it feels and sounds, I had them do set up and put on Grover locking tuners I am very impressed with how this cheap guitar feels better than my Jackson Soloist

@@MaxSoloMusicRU I went onto to compare this to the KX300 to the KX500...then active vs passive pickups...then chasing buzz in my own guitars...looking up shielding videos...then looking up building my own guitars...then back to the KX500 "dang that thing is beautiful"

I'm really surprised how warm and un-active these sounded when compared to the Fishman. Just proves once again why I don't like conventional active pickups but the Super 77 set sounds really good to be fair.

Im totally in love with the desing of this guitar but not so much for the sound. Mi plan is to buy it and put some SD JB and 59... now i have them installed on my yamaha with alder body.... no idea how is going to sound on this Cort, some of you have some reference about the mahogany body with ash cover combination + SD JB - 59???

hi can you plz tell the difference between the cort kx300 vs cort kx300 etched . they both have similar specs but there is a massive price difference between them , also they both have different string through body fixed bridges

Thanks Lohan. No plans for RGA but a video on RG421HPFM will go live in a couple of weeks or so. Those are very similar guitars other then the arched top on RGA
This review is so good that again I have doubts about which guitar to choose.
For months I have been between the Ibanez RGA42FM and the Cort KX-300, both have almost the same specifications, almost the same price, even similar colors.
I'm looking for the most versatile guitar for playing metal (Iron Maiden, Blind Guardian, Megadeth, Amon Amarth, Fear Factory) ... Help me choose !!
You won't go wrong with any of them. Both produced at the same factory, so quality wise they are identical. Ibanez branded guitars are usually more expensive. So if we're looking at two guitars from these two brands priced the same, we can expect Cort to have a bit higher specs and features
SAme problem I can't choose between Rga42fm and KX300 - kx300 absolutely better with dist or crunch but on clean I don't understand

Hey, thanks! It would be interesting to hear about your first impression when the guitar arrives. Just one more thing that was brought to my attention after my Cort videos were published: a couple of people reported the battery had a tendency to die very quickly. If you experience similar symptoms, check the output connector. One or two of its contacts may be touching the shielding inside the body causing a short circuit, meaning the active circuit in the guitar is always on even without the cable plugged. Very rarely but this happens. And it's easy to fix

How is the fret work and are there any tall frets or are they all level? How is the action? Is the guitar easy to play? How does the fingerboard feel? How do the frets feel?

Honestly I'd rather get a Harley Benton Fusion-II. A lot more value for the price.
Maybe selling the EMGs and putting some IronGear pickups mitigates the price difference a little.
Yes, Amarok wins in terms of specs. But at the same time it's more of a lottery than the KX300 because of the QC

You received the guitar from Cort review departement ? Or is a normal guitar ?
It came from a distributor in France. I don't know whether they've hand picked it but I have reasons to believe this is a preproduction or an early model. I now have a fresh production model which I'll show in the part 2 of this video
It always sounds disturbing to me when a guitarist hits just one note with that pinch harmonic technique, common in heavy metal.
