Nah, I honestly really think EXO doesn't have bad song when it comes to production. None of their discography can be considered as trash or second-thought production.
Most of their songs is something I wish exist in western industry but I know wont ever happen.
It's just the matter of whether if it fits ones taste. I have many of their songs that doesn't fit my taste. But I can't deny how good their music is.

Honestly these suggestions don't do justice to how diverse EXO's discography is. They can quickly go from EDM tracks to r&b to modern pop to soft ballads to more rap heavy to techno, etc. etc. etc. Basically just listen to their entire discography lol, they definitely have a lot of tracks that would better suit your tastes.
EXO has everything for everyone, you're right they have so much variety while some groups tend to only focus on certain genres of music.

If you know EXO's lore, from predebut to now, El Dorado will make more sense. EXO's lore is deep, tied with real people and astronomical events. Predebut teasers, to MVs, to concert VCRs. The team behind EXO's concept goes pretty deep.

Of all the discography in kpop, I think that exo has some of the best. They are extremely diverse and I feel that they can be successful in pretty much any genre. Not every song is perfect by any means, but they find ways to make you love them, even if you didn't like it to start. Some more songs that I really love that you didn't listen to is What U Do, Machine, Lights Out, and They Never Know. I know you aren't super keen on r&b, but exo does it really well, and I encourage you to check out more of their stuff.
A song not on this list that you might be interested in is Playboy - it was composed by Jonghyun and if you know his work you can absolutely tell 💕

I feel like he wouldn't like Playboy much though, since Playboy is VERY R&B heavy. I wouldn't want him to listen to it and have him pretend to like it when he obviously doesnt just bc of recent events, I would want him to enjoy Jonghyun's music and style for what it is, which is extremely good, distinctive, and unique R&B.
Jonghyuns style in general is extremely RnB influenced, which is why he's been my ultimate bias for 6 years (since R&B is my absolute favorite genre of music) and why I wrote a fucking essay about him and about SHINee over last summer lmao
My music tastes generally dont really match up with Form of Therapy's, which is why I usually dont watch his videos lol (Ik hes really into Seventeen but I just dont really like their music.. Also, White Noise is one of my fav EXO songs, as well as all their slower R&B tracks like What If, Cloud 9, Beautiful, etc. and I have a feeling he wouldnt like any of those songs haha) and the fact that Form of Therapy isnt really into that makes me sad lol

i tried to list down songs that pd might like. personally i dont even list my faves because it really depends on my mood what I'd like to listen to. exo has songs for people with different tastes and you'd find different fans have different favorite exo albums and its a good thing because that just means exo has a lot to offer, have diverse albums and theyre not even close to being disappointing. they cater to different tastes and thats what i find cool about them. i just wish fans themselves couldve dove deeper to exo's discography lmao. the results are a bit disappointing but oh well we all have different opinions

The performance on "El dorado" is really phenomena. Although the audio is quite good but the live version is just something that surprise me so much.

the fans who submitted the songs.....these are really good but there are better exo songs. if you suggested polarizing songs for pd to listen to i think he would've been more pleased.its too bad i couldve suggested stuff but its really hard for me to narrow it down to two songs.ill base my suggestions in what i think youll like in the albums:i think exo's xoxo repackaged (black pearl, baby dont cry, heart attack) and exodus album (transformer, lady luck, exodus, hurt) are more up your alley.also the war album (going crazy, diamond, chill), ex'act repackaged (artificial love, cant bring me down), idk about the universe since its mostly r&b but imo it has to be one of exo's best albums to date. for other titles i think youd like lotto and call me baby!!i hope you check them out, thanks for giving exo a chance pd

Tbh, I don’t get why El Dorado is hyped up so much. Yeah, I agree it’s Exo’s anthem (and Exo-ls) and it’s a great song with Baekhyun’s legendary high note. But it’s not the greatest musically. It’s not a song I jam to either. I’d rather have him listen to Cloud 9, Hurt, Drop That, Lightsaber or Black Pearl.
