    I think the players are about to see a different side to Ange, he is definitely not happy. The comment getting other players to get what's in Romero tells me some of the players are about to realize Ange doesn't play favorites and not afraid to drop any player. The team is a work in progress and whilst the early indications were good the players who were showing promise have now fallen away. When I read all the stories linking Spurs early in the season, I thought why but now I can see more competition for positions means more quality players are needed. Players who are more consistent for a whole season. Having said this, I think Spurs need regular week to week football and these long breaks between games are not helping them find a rhythm.

    • @martinputt6421
      @martinputt6421 Před 15 dny +1

      But who is he going to drop? Our first team players are mostly rubbish these days and anyone he could bring in from the bench is even worse.

    • @shottskies
      @shottskies Před 15 dny +1

      The funny thing is he tried to make it look like he was shaking things up in this game by dropping a couple of perhaps selection surprises by starting hojberg and bentencur possibly. That worked real well as he was 3 nil down at half time…. 😂
      He went in on the players in this press conference by saying the only player there that has mentality is Romero. That’s interesting because all he trains this team in week in week out is the same old repetitive patterns of “angeball” this is clear because this team only has one way. The players are only allowed to play in this way. And they have no answers when their chips are down and they’re being tactically outplayed. They’re not being trained by big Ange the genius to know any other answers. The manager doesn’t have any. Prophet Dier has confirmed this whether you like it or not 😂. On top of all that these players are being asked to run more than any other team and for such little return for their wares.
      If big Ange isn’t careful he will lose the dressing room. Forget about dropping this guy for that guy. They’ll drop him soon.

    • @skim7221
      @skim7221 Před 15 dny +1

      Well said. We need and he needs players like romero who take matters into his own hands when things arent going well. Kulusevski also showed it today and also bentancur and udogie is that type of player. So we have four of this kind. We also have a bunch of players who give their all and are very much coys but can be timid at times: johnson, vdv, sarr, porro, werner, vicario. We need a mix of more players with a fight and courage like romero kulusevski bentancur udogie. Son maddison richrlison are the big name players and dont think we dont need to add more of them at this point. And please dont let us see davis and hobjerg playing meaningless passes next season. Like ange said, these two lost focus multiple times today - hojberg with the own goal, passing the ball to the opposition, and when helping davis defend the left side (saka). Davis was never really focused. He never got a grip on saka and if he was focused he should have known saka wont and cant shoot with his right foot. And for the love of god lets get a set piece coach as our first signing of the summer. Better yet, hire one now. Having ryan mason (who was put there by levy) in charge of set pieces is embarassing. Just get a professional to do the job.

I don’t think Ange has the ability to alter games, he just has a one dimensional view, and all are opponents are wise to it. For god sake buy a proven goal scorer, tippy tippy football is great but without someone to put it in the net, what’s the point. Sonny is too nice and operates in the wrong area of the pitch whereas Romero has a definite edge to him and can be an inspirational leader in the middle of the park. Personally I would not have a keeper or a striker as captain and that includes Harry Kane for England, I would favour Declan Rice.

    This is from a neutral. I think we can all agree that premier league needs to do something about players, like Ben White, constantly pushing the opponent's goalkeeper, during corner. It is very obvious that it affected the GK ability, to stop 2 of the 3 goals. Congrats to Arsenal btw.

      Are you sure you watched the game? First half tottenham honestly played better in terms of possession, they scored a goal and was offside by margins. Also unlucky that kulesevski wasn't given a pen for that incident in the box. I's say set pieces were a big issue tho that did cost them but I don't think condescending 2 of set peices means the coach doesn't understand the game that's such a stupid thing to claim. second half they produced 2 goals and nearly fought back. So it's not like they got thrashed. It's his first season at the club mate. To get tottenham a top 5 finish in one of the biggest if not the biggest football leauge in the world and say he doesn't understand the basics of football is really dumb but maybe this is just comment or rage bait or something and i'v fell for it. • @shottskies

    Unbelievable how the journos let this guy off the hook. He’s coming off another two week break to prepare for what is in essence the biggest game of his season. He’s coming back after a pathetic 4 nil away loss at Newcastle against their b team at best. And he’s down 3 nil at half time in the NLD and you can’t tell me that arsenal weren’t affected by fatigue in this match. This is disgraceful. And he sits there and continues to live in complete denial about the amateur ish standard of his team’s set pieces. Not one single question about tactics or anything. What a disgrace. If raya didn’t pass Romero the ball in the second half spurs wouldn’t have gotten a goal at all most likely in this game. But according to big Aussie larrakin Ange it’s because the only player in his team with mentality is Romero. Ah ok so that’s the reason why this team has lost these last two matches in such embarrassing fashion. Ok mate… 😂
    The truth is these pathetic journos are all actually shit scared of hilarious “nice guy” Ange. Nice guy Ange is actually a very thin veneer when all of sudden his chips are down and things aren’t going his way. You’ll see that he quickly turns into angry, gaslighting Ange that tries to cover up his own shortcomings by attempting to humiliate people or play down any questions that try to probe him.

    • @h_m8206
      @h_m8206 Před 15 dny +1

      some good points. They should have ripped into him, and they would have if the moment comes that his job is on the line. They sense it isn't, i.e they are not smelling blood yet. But no he's not a nice guy, but he is driven and is a winner, and definitely narrow minded. He figures that players 100% focus on the game is the key to his style. But that's damn hard to achieve. Almost impossible for any player to keep that focus!.
      Whether he likes it or not he must now accept that his players (and especially vicario) are not defending corners and are not scoring from corners. Means that he needs more aggressive & taller players to start games. (begs the question on why dragusin was not in this team)
      He knows he has a year ahead of him to make a difference, and yes he's definitely flawed, his team selection and substitutions are a hit and miss affairs. I am hopeful that his survival instinct kicks in and he learns from this 1st year, because this league would be a shock to him where it is finding out his own inadequacies. I am sure that he knows that, but of course will not say so. He has however stuck to his style and will do so until end of the year. That's a good thing, it will tell him exactly what he needs to address.
      Lastly, Vicario is now showing himself to be a liability as well, am very surprised. Unless he evolves into a more aggressive goalkeeper his days will also be numbered as well !!!

What’s wrong mate I came to this video hoping to see the big light hearted Aussie bloke drop a few hilarious gags. After all that is the work of a top manager, just crack a couple of smart arse jokes hey. Tactics, set pieces, the fact that i rely on the ridiculous pace of one central defender to defend my whole team - none of that stuff matters for big ange mate coz he’ll say something funny in the press conference.
    The fact that my team’s been on a downward trajectory since the first ten games and I’m relying on that to appear relevant now and still getting worse. The fact that my footballs becoming increasingly more found out and predictable as the season’s gone on. Nah none of that matters to big Ange mate coz Tottenham are on a journey to the football promised land with Angeball mate. We’re gonna be challenging for the title NEXT YEAR mate.
