I have the Maxx with all the mentioned upgrades here along with the X-Maxx. For severe off road I love the X-Maxx. For durability I love the Maxx. The thing about the Maxx over the X-Maxx is that there is absolutely nothing I have done to the Maxx because it broke. Every dime I spent on it has been for upgrades. I drive my X-Maxx until the pinion comes loose or something breaks and then I finish the day without any issues driving the Maxx. It's a tank!

I use 100wt front and 80wt rear. 2 months of bashing I only broke steering caster and bent steering links which still works. Stay stock imo! Forget aluminum etc.. all show no go... Excellent video quality 👌

Good video. I've done all but the diff fluid to mine. Live where we get snow, so may have to up the diff fluid when that comes. Does nothing for performance, but the light kit is very nice too.

i got the xmaxx anf the maxx at the same time, i thought i was going to be more interestwd in the xmaxx, but i just wasnt. its big... thats it. the maxx does everything you want in an rc. I ended up trading away my xmaxx with proline everything and felt no remorse. the maxx, on the other hand, will probably go to the grave with me! light kit, widekit, all aluminum knuckles and what not, gps expander, bluetooth. i love it all.

Does the wide kit make the chassis slap worse? Can’t tell if it actually lowers its stance making it more likely to slap or it only makes the wheelbase wider

@TheRcKiwis a friend from a FB group makes these upgrades for those that either can't afford or just don't want to pay the high cost of the steel axles plus the extra stuff needed to use them... They are called anti-twizzlers and he sells them at the eBay link below.. They just slide over the newly exposed part of the drive shaft after installing the widemaxx kit... They fit very snug and help prevent the twisting and eventual breakage of the shaft.. www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=maxx+antitwizzlers&_trksid=m5467.l1311&_odkw=maxx+anti+twizzlers

@@adampaterson6784 I'm using the 8654 hubs & 7758 nuts so I can't speak to the stock spacer/nut method. But the Kaiju's are wider, have better glue, and don't rub the body (not using wide maxx setup). My one concern would be extra weight. Drive line gears are going to work harder and, unless you've bought the steel axles, the plastic stock axles run extra risk of stripping.
