- Team Hi and Team Low are installing BODY KITS!
James and Zach are getting a $5,500 C-West body kit built by the JDM Gods themselves! It comes with front and rear bumpers, side skirts, canards, a cf hood, and a rear wing. They also bought a set of $600 carbon fiber mirrors from Chargespeed. Shout out to our boy Tony at SocalZ who managed to track one down a wing for us that was hiding in a back room and sold it to us just in time to make this episode.
Nolan and Aaron are getting a $300 Duraflex N1 Body Kit. Dude, $300!! But it didn’t come with a sweet hood or wing like Hi-car’s kit did. SO, they got a gigantic Street Faction wing and a JGTC inspired carbon fiber hood. The wing itself was $800, which makes the wing officially the most expensive thing on Low Car. The CF hood was $540 -- It was the cheapest one we could find. Oh, and they also got some eBay KNOCKOFF ganador mirrors for $40.
Body Kits are one of the coolest mods you can do to your car because it really changes the way the car looks, it almost feels like you own a new car!
Is all the extra money Team Hi is throwing at their body kit actually gonna make it look THAT much better than Low Car?

At 6:15 -6:25 the editors match the sound of the Dremel to the music perfectly. I like that. He definitely spent about 20 or 30 minutes editing only 10 seconds. Dedication to your art, or just fooling around. You decide.

With most cheap bodykits, no holes is typically always better because they never line up correctly, which requires the need to oval out the holes or drill new holes anyways.
agreed. no holes adds more work to installing but it always ensures a better fit, which is especially important if you’re upgrading multiple parts

The reason there were fit issues on the CWest kit is because of the intercooler from the twin turbo kit. Everything would've fit fine from that kit (which doesn't include the mirrors) if the car was stock to start.
Do you know how mad I'd be if I bought $600 mirrors and they were that horrid? When you compare them to the craftsmanship, ease of install, and final look of the C-West products? They are really proving that $$$ does NOT always equal MO BETTAH!

Those are RHD mirrors. It's angled so that you can see out of them when sitting in the right side. RHD and LHD side view mirrors are not interchangeable

looks like they are trying to attach an RHD mirror to an LHD base. which is why it won't fit. But even when you get them to fit with the correct base, you still won't be able to see out of that mirror.
Hence why I sold my Ganadors. I even had LHD glass and there were still horrible blind spots

edit: These replies jabbing at me are actually kind of funny and that is all I intended with this comment. I figured that this might make a few people upset, but damn you guys really hated that. I once again want to be clear that not only was this comment intended to be a light-hearted joke that might make a few people grin or just blow a little air out their nose but I also feel the need to point out that any video on youtube isn't free. Sure most of us don't pay any money to the wonderful content creators on here-donut included of course-but you are the product that makes the money through advertisements or youtube premium (which doesn't even pay creators as much as ads tend to) that then gets divvied up to the creators. By watching this video we technically generate the income of these creators and we do that because we like the creator, their style, their personality, and the content that they make for this platform. They have a job that they are pursuing likely due to a passion for what they do and if I were to make a joke about their passion or about them personally then sure, that would have been an awful thing to do. But is it really that wrong to acknowledge the effort they put into that passion and then make a small joke that either they can improve upon, using this as a learning point, or even slough it off entirely with no harm to themselves or their image? Really, answer me on that one. INB4 I end up getting blasted somewhere on reddit like r/iamverysmart

I definitely do not prefer to go through hassles of these kinds of things, but I like to more than the convenience of ease strictly because I don't feel like I worked hard enough for my own ride, I especially appreciate the bond that I build with my personal ride (connecting with Eleanor lol or in my case, Dark Side). For me it's art

ACE has it all, we had an auto-zone next door and 98% of the customers who bought bolts came from there, it was cool cuz we occasionally would have people show up in our lot and work on their cars

These videos are great. And yeah cheap body parts is hell to mount. Bought a rear bumper on ebay for a e30 and had to rebuild the entire thing for it to fit 🤣
The original mirror brackets were modified so much that the intended angle of perspective and physical distance from them was changed from what was intended. They could also be imports (right handed drivers) in combination with the bracket angle change a very strange visual effect would occur. Swapping the actual mirrors(glass not mounts) may help a bit.
