He’s also talking for television on the network that basically kept his residuals coming in during his declining years. Ben is also the grandson of an Oscar-winning screenwriter.
The King of Comedy is one of my favourite Scorsese / DeNiro movies… both DeNiro & Jerry Lewis are superb in it, I think it’s something of an overlooked cinematic gem!
We kids growing up in the 50s really love Jerry Lewis in his comedy movies with Dean Martin - he made us laugh so much. Those were good old days. RIP Jerry. Thanks for the memories.
King of Comedy stands out all the more from the gangster genres. It's a much more difficult task to master and he pulls it off brilliantly, with the help of DeNiro no doubt

Robert De Niro and Jerry Lewis played together in The King of Comedy in 1983 . And i hope that the lady did not really mean that she hope that he get cancer because if yeah hope karma will strike back at her cause how can she even say this to him!?

Takes a brave man to interview Jerry Lewis. The guy can be a minefield of awkwardness
Ben did a great job here making Jerry feel comfortable. If Jerry Lewis is doing an interview he doesn't want to do you can tell.
He’s also talking for television on the network that basically kept his residuals coming in during his declining years. Ben is also the grandson of an Oscar-winning screenwriter.
Ben's father was a big Hollywood director so Jerry has mad respect for Ben
I lost all respect and admiration for Lewis after the arrogant, rude interview. What a diva!
@@DonaldGerbino Which is ironic because he looks like he could be Tarantino’s biological father as well
Yep, we've all seen that one ;)
Jerry knew when he could relax and be himself, and when he needed to seem more friendly and interactive, like in this interview.

I bet he was rude AF to the lady and that's why she said that. Not that two wrongs make a right.
I have a feeling his response to that woman was a little more hostile than he's saying.
Mr cranky himself !!! LOL
well, no doubt he outlived her. RIP Jerry Lewis, you are the King of Comedy

No doubt he is crusty as hell at times but I forgive him for all the joy his films brought me. No doubt Buddy Love was Jerry’s Mr Hyde.
