I lived in California as a kid, and some of my fondest memories are watching the tarantula hawks take out all the scary spiders that lived in our yard. Sometimes they’d land on me, and I’d gently pet them! It’s hard to believe that something so docile has a sting *that* awful, but Nature is a lil’ crazy lol ;D
