- In this video I review the Gridiron Studios load out for Hasbro’s GI Joe Airbourn. We will quickly look at what the normal figure comes with and then what comes with the load out. We will see how it looks on him.

The rifle looks like a Vietnam era CAR-15 or the XM-177 that was often listed on the file cards.

I personally like the goggles that come in that small bag from Gridiron. I ordered an Airborne and it should be coming soon.
Alpine is another character that has a similar goggle feature. I hope if and when they do decide to make Alpine as a Hasbro Classified release - they’ll do a great job. 😎
This loadout is really cool!! I completely agree with his stock rifle. The design is cool, but it is very bendable and doesn't look good when you pose him in a firing position.

The original backpack fall off to often with retro Duke. That’s the main complaint I’m hearing he does not come with his original weapon GR looks amazing
Shit lugging that 60 plus weight with all the gear in that rucksack,then get out at 5:30 to 8:30 am they try to ,ITS HEAVY AFTER 3 MILES LOL

Suggestion. Have you tried putting the original blue googles on him, then putting the Gridiron Studio helmet on him with the clear visor? Not sure if it would work since I haven't ordered the upgrade just yet. But I am curious if it would look better that way.

It's design for a pilot that requires more stopping power than the standard m9. A forward assist, a bayonet lug, telescopic butt stock, round handguards and a flash suppressor is included in the model.

The load-out and Airborne are not mine, they are someone else’s who let me review the load-out and I just put it together for him lol

Probably one my favorite loadouts, instead of using the weapon that came with it I actually got a sweet rifle that came for free since I ordered it on the weekend, thank goodness this was made to replace these horrible Hasbro weapons and accessories
It’s a good load-out and Gridiron has had to step their game up cause other than the gun, Airborne is an almost perfect figure.
@@Apunkwithtoys I agree with you that Airborne is an almost perfect figure but the backpack, rifle, gun and knife are garbage. Where I don't agree is Gridiron having to step up their game. While I may not agree with the choice in weapons they include with some of the character loadouts they release almost perfect loadout for every character they set their mind to, especially the vehicle add-ons for the VAMP, sure the VAMP is a perfect vehicle outright and probably doesn't need to be upgraded but Gridiron always goes above and beyond to make the VAMP an ultimate war fighting machine.
Great vid. I ordered this item 2 weeks ago. 1st timer order with Grid Iron. I have a confirmation number that my order was received, but nothing since. Seems like I should have received some kind of shipping update by now. How long does it normally take for them to ship an item? I sent them an email a few days ago, but still haven’t heard anything. Thanks in advance for any insight
Sometimes it can take up to 2-3 weeks before they ship. That is one complaint many have is how long it takes to ship, but I promise you they will ship it.

Yeah I've been waiting on stuff 3 weeks already. With vamp and everything else I am sure GIS is very busy...but like he said it will ship.

I’ll pass on gridiron… I think Hasbro’s helmet and accessories are better. I lost trust in his Guns I’ll stick to Vala’s guns .
Love that pocket knife. Don’t like the bayonet as it doesn’t fit right. It angles up. The backpack slides out. But I love the detail. I’m torn, but it do mix and match. The walkie talkie is always awesome. The “black” goggles are the same reason the Hasbro has the “green” goggles. They are covers to stop reflection. Also pretty sure that’s an M4 not an M16, but it is closer to the OG. The mark2 designs M16 with bayonet was my favorite until I broke the knife. 😂
