I am a Shriner and we have a unit with 6 of these old cars. They parade all summer long and it’s great fun. I am in the process of building a parade vehicle for this summer. If you are interested check out the assembly vids on you tube. Look at title HOT ROD PARADE. I have built this in my shop in my spare time. I am currently in episode #5 and will document the entire build to the end. Thanks I love your channel keep up the good work.

If those wheels are 16 inch, owner may want to consider trying to find 16 x 3 Schwinn Stingray Orange County Chopper bicycle rear tires, they do fit the wheels even though they are considerably wider than the 2 - 2.125 stock or regular bike tires.

These days all you can really ever do is resto-mod, but hey, that's most of the fun and at the same time make it unique.

His initial thought was to simply swap engines, and just repair and paint everything else. Then, the mental gears started turning. Why not make it better, right?

Looking to build a half scale, 1929 C Cab truck. About 42” wide. Do you have any suggestions for a rack and pinion that would work for this application.

Any information on the progress of the restoration? I picked up an identical kart today as the one in your video. I would love more information on what parts and such were used in this resto. Mine is in good condition but theres always room to improve! You by chance know the manufacturer of that kart? I can’t find anything out about it but thought it was way to cool not to buy! Thanks for any information you may be able to provide.

Cool project but I wasn’t exactly thrilled to here that you might be putting a clone on it. Those engines are alright but they are kinda overrated since everyone seems to be slapping those engines on everything. Why not use something like an old Briggs, Kohler, Tecumseh or anything else on it? I hardly see them used on anything anymore since these Honda clones and predator engines are being slapped on every project on the internet, it seems like.

    • @DocSprocket

@@DocSprocket Starter Generator. Might be the way to go if it is going to a kid. Children have a tendency to make mistakes and might accidentally hit the starter after the engine is running.
