Great job that handle looks great!
Very goo
Great job very interesting
Would be cool.
Looks great Dave
Ahh love the fallout sticker😂
Super !
Thank you! Cheers!
Knife art !
If i dont win the giveaway, ill just have to order one in your shop instead 😊
Turned out beautiful Dave. Loved seeing the way you overcame some of the hiccups that happened along the way. The forged finish on the blade works perfectly with the textured handle scales.
Great job!
Glad you enjoyed it
What a great video! Love the mission impossible sound track and the sweat bead while editing the video. You and I have the same sense of humour! Great job buddy!
Awesome! Thank you Mike!
I like how the zebra wood looks with those grooves cut in! Keep it up!
Thank you! Cheers!
I love the attention you pay when making your knives. Great job and the finished knife looks amazing!
Thank you ♥
Good looking blade. Thank you for the videos!
Thank you for the support 🤝
Looks awesome finished even with the shorter blade. And the sheath looks amazing too. Can’t wait for that vid.
Hopefully I can get on that video soon!
The hot beeswax is a great way to seal … and nothing smells better 🤣 great looking knife 🍻🍻
Thanks Hugh! Hope you're doing well man 🍻
Work of art !
Thank you! 🙏
Great work.
Thanks! 👊
Nice pivot and overcome! Digging the detail work on the handle!
Thank you 🙏
Love the grinder. This looks like a fun project
Thanks Rod. It was a lot of fun. The MV2x72 is a treat to use! My proudest moment during this build was having the forging being fairly close to what I had drawn out on paper.
I love how you were able to look past the fact it had a broken tip and was able to adapt it to what you wanted.
Thanks man. Life goes on. My heart sunk when it first happened but if you ask me now, it was perfect. The spirit of the channel is supposed to be me learning and making mistakes so I was happy there were some blunders during the build
Amazing work Dave
Thanks buddy
Merry Christmas.
Same to you!
Looks great man! Beautiful knife and awesome details at the end
Thank you!
knife looks great
Thank you!
You put so much effort and love in to this.. I'm sure you'll succeed
Thank you! 🙏
Wow great work bro
Thank you 🙏
Pretty sick bro. I would love to own a piece of art like that.
Thanks for the support! 🙏 Please also leave a comment on the CZcams shorts video so I can enter you into the draw! That video can be found under the Shorts section of my channel. If you check the video description there is a link for it there. I'll post the link here as well! czcams.com/users/shortsU-8FF3q_qt4
Hey Dave, we met at the Reynolds show this year! Good lookin knife!
Ian, of course I remember meeting you and checking out your table full of awesome knives! Thanks a lot man. I appreciate the support. I hope you've tried some free-hand grinding!
With the amount of effort you put into these it shocks me the fact you don't have more subscribers.
I appreciate that. There are periods of 6-8 months sometimes where I don't make any videos. I would say this is the largest contributor to me not growing very fast. I can see the spikes in views and subscribers whenever I do make uploads so I can tell if I was doing at least 2 videos per month I would see more growth. The problem is I only have limited time available each week because I have a full time job and other obligations. I am usually very busy during summer time and that's when it's the most difficult to be in the shop working. It's fine though. I am enjoying myself and I am grateful I can have a knife shop and make knives and that the channel has come as far as it has.
as I sayed in the short version, absolutely gorgeos work
Thank you for the comment. I appreciate it!
There is no broken tip, only a slightly less than average length 😔
Yes and it still cuts things really good 👍
What hardness were you able to get with knife? She’s pretty either way. 🔪
I appreciate it. I actually don't check the hardness. It's harder than the file I used to check the hardness 😅 Maybe I should look into those hardness checking file sets that I've seen
@@DaveMakesKnives I got my coil around 58 Rockwell after tempering at 400 for 2 hours. The files are cheap and work gives you comfort knowing you have a hardened blade.
Hey bro! I have some good news for you. The winner of the knife draw never claimed the knife so I did a re-draw at the end of my latest video (Making a leather sheath, part 1). You are the winner. Let me know your email address or another way to contact you so I can ship the knife.
