1967 Lincoln Project Update 13 Apr 2024 Speed Control Work

This is not an exciting video. Lots of test driving. The cruise control unit is not functioning, so will do some electrical troubleshooting next chance I get using the procedures in the shop manual. I suspect I have a bad relay and the servo unit itself might also be defective.

if the fabric is still in good shape, you may be able to have the foam only replaced on the seats and the covers re-installed. I have had that done to one I owned long ago

Really? That gives me hope then! I'd really like to keep the fabric. I'm going to try cleaning it with a rented upholstery cleaner and see how it looks.

Weren’t some parts in servo common between the two tests? Then problem could be in common parts since same problem occurred between the two tests. 😊 Thanks for video, nice car! I hope you show removing ALL the rust!

That is a good point. I'm going to start by testing those two relays since the unit will not disengage when I step on the brake pedal.
