mic sounds really good at least to my ear for that price the only thing was the shock mount really seems to have a lot of play in it. Thanks for showing it to us.

+elfaroproductions I want to think that the more play a shock mount has, the less vibration will transfer to the microphone when handling. If it were those rubber bands that break over time, I might be a bit worried, but the all plastic shock mount is molded as part of the housing and should not wear out over time.

nice review. record a live band next time. library recording is OK but I would like to know how it handles loud sources.

What's the max distance for this thing that it will sound decent at running straight into the camera? merry xmas!

The closer the better for any microphone, even shotgun mics. But you could probably be around 4-5 feet away and get much better sound than the in-camera microphones can.

Can't run both mics at the same time can you? Seems like it would be cool if you could pick up the ambient sounds of the beach with the stereo mic and interview someone at the same time with the mono mic. Thanks for reviewing this.

No you can only run one microphone at a time. You will toggle between Stereo or Mono options.
