My biggest problem is trying to measure out from the roll! I usually end up with a lot of excess or the opposite; not enough! I did learn from the video how to do the ends. Now I know how to make it look "cleaner" and more even. Thanks for sharing.

for wrapping presents, i do 1 of 3 things:
1. wrap normally
2. Put small christmas presents (like hair ties) and put it in a oversized box (like a oven sized box) then wrap the box
3. Wrap a present, then wrap it again, and again, and again till you have like 20 layers of wrapping paper.

@ItsMrTony well, it all depends. If your gift is in a package (like a ups box or bag) I would tape it, or it it has a plastic wrapping, it won't matter. It also depends on the quality of tape. Many types of tape won't leave residue or pull of color from a box if you are careful. If you really don't want to do this then pull one side over, hold then then the other side and tape it.

That's a lot of tape. I do mine completely without tape, using only a band/ribbon tied up around the package, to hold it together. This is helpful for one of my gift recipients, who can only use one arm: To unwrap, one just have to pull on the "To ... From ..." tag to untie the bowtied ribbon, and the whole thing almost opens itself... :-)

if you can't find double sided tapes in time (i couldn't! T_T) just make a "ring" shape with a regular tape with the glue part in the outside and it works just fine as double sided.
