Hey everyone welcome back to another video. Today I am super excited were taking a look at a NEW Class A Gas Motorhome from Coachmen. This is the 2021 Coachmen Encore 355DS. This motorhome is absolutely amazing and what is even more amazing is the floorplan. The 355DS might be the best class A gas motorhome floorplan for fulltime living. I know your going to love it.

I really like this RV, but just one thing I wish they and other RV manufactures would do.
When the tv is off set like in this one. I really wish they would put them on a swing arm so that after your evening meal you could swing the tv over to be opposite the theater seats.
Then this would be a perfect RV. Just love the push up bed to make the bedroom into a dressing room.
This is one of my favourite Class A gas motorhomes, along with the Bounder and Emblem.

1: Tacky light above dinette
2: Bunk over the cab does not hold as much as other competitors
3: No rear bumper
I love the storage in the bedroom, I love the light colors, I love the over bed cab for my grandchild, the handle near the door love, I love the cargo capacity... this is a really nice motorhome.

Really nice unit
Likes: 1. Theater seats across from TV, 2. The entire layout, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, living area. 3. flip up bed storage.
Dislikes: 1. TV should be on televator for extra window, 2. Low max weight on bunk over cab, 3. vents in floor
One of the nicest Class A I have seen. The interior has set the standard for other manufacturers.
I like the floor plan on this. Love that the bed can get pushed up and plenty of room. I wish the bunk above the cab could hold more weight too. I especially love the fact you can have stackable washer dryer.
Ok, I think this is my favourite one I've seen. It really has everything we are looking for: accessible bed while slides are in, stackable washer/dryer, wet bay, CPAP, nightstands... We love you, Matt and Andrea!!!
I LUUUVVVVV this motor home!!! Three things I like
1. The size! What a great floor plan in a smaller class A!
2. Definitely the dressing area!
3. That it’s gas!
Three things I don’t like
1. I wish the tv was a televator type. The extra window would be nice.
2. The extra tv by the table.🤷♀️
3. The stairs. I like the kind that have the hydraulic lift and go up into the stairwell.

The flip up storage bed is the coolest thing I've seen in awhile and every RV manufacturer should copy this feature.
+ like that it has ONE bathroom. Saves lots of space.
+ nice open floor plan.
+ BED. Been asking forever for a murphy bed like this to make the space useable when you aren't sleeping.
- move the couch over, put the door between it and the kitchen, so the couch is directly across from the TV. Also, this would allow a storage place in the back of the kitchen cabinet useable for shoes and so on.
- 3rd TV is redundant.

I love the backsplash, the king bed, and the V8 engine. I love the captain chairs and table on passenger side, the trifold sofa, and the two colors on the furniture. I also like the size of tires. I would prefer a shorter RV without the extra sofa, and a bunk with a higher weight limit on it.
Yessssss! This one would work for dog shows too :) I love it.

I don't like that the awning doesn't cover the door. Other than that, I love this unit. Especially the microwave/convection oven, bathroom, pantry and the bedroom.
The flip up bed that's just awesome. The awing should have and remote
Another nice unit if we were looking for a class A. But we watch mostly for the Matt and Andrea show.

The bed set up is fantastic, as is the rest of the interior (including the dining table light and the back splash :P ).
The awning. The way it's attached, the look from under it, and the attached speakers.

Anyways, before you start spending all your hard earned money please save some first.
This RV Boom will not last and crash sooner or later, folks will figure out it’s not all what they thought it was, when that happens you would be feeling the crunch yourself and I’m worried about that.
You work hard and deserve everything you work for but please don’t let this get to you, save save save first and then spend, I been through them ups and down and trust me it’s no fun.

This floor plan is very similar to my 2019 Mirada 35OS . Like it so much I bought one ! Power seat . Extra light in living area. 4 TVs for great viewing! No dislikes

1. I agree with Andrea; that bedroom flip up bed with the mirror and seats and storage is the best!!! I actually love the entire bedroom layout and storage.
2. Accessibility. Even with the slides in, you can reach whatever you need to teach.
3. The decor. Love the light over the dinette, the backsplash design and color schemes inside and out.
Dislikes:
1. Agree about the bunk. Why bother for a 300# capacity?
2. Would like more storage in the bathroom.
3. Get rid of the TV by the dinette and give me storage.

Nice awning that matches the body style and fuel fill is in the back.
Likes: Can access the bed and kitchen with slide closed
Kitchen (I would want a regular oven) is very nice, plenty of counter space.
The king bed with amazing storage under it. Phenomenal storage throughout the model
Dislikes: The awkward button too high up, lights above dinette. We can’t think of another thing to dislike

* Excellent kitchen
* Bedroom is overall awesome-sauce

* Extra TV in the living area is unnecessary
* One recliner is not in line with the main TV

* The weight capacity of the overhead bunk. (Should be at least 500lbs.)
* Would rather have a telavator TV behind Tri fold sofa and a window instead of mounted TV
* The ledge on the floor by drawers at the end of the master bed.
Likes 1. The layout 2. Stackable washer/dryer ready, 3. Matt's phenomenal toilet test. Dislike No Oven. Overall fantastic Motorhome.

This is a really nice motorhome! I'll have to admit that Coachman really did well on this one. Love the floorplan, colors, large TV, theater seating, solid surface counter tops, nice sink, LG convection/microwave, LG refrigerator with icemaker, stackable w/d prep, closet space is good, bathroom is good, personally I like the 2nd TV because I would connect my computer to it. Don't like the bunk over the cab (should be 500 lbs. minimum), I'd rather not even have it. Like the fact that it has a 10 gallon water heater and a fairly large propane tank. This is great and, of course, you guys did a jam up job showing this unit. Love all your videos!
Three dislikes: No cord reel for the electric service; the TV needs a televator and a window behind and we wouldn't want the second TV; and the kitchen counter is too small when the cover is off the sink. We want to look out at the scenery. BUT - this is as thoughtfully designed as anything I've seen. Love the storage, convenient layout, bathroom and especially the bedroom.
Love the theater seats across from large tv. Love the wood cabinets and trim. Valances aren’t bad. Love the tv off the dinette. Not a fan of back splash at stove design but like lots of coverage. Love farmhouse sink. No oven sucks. Love the bed utilizing space
Really like the floor plan! The under bed is amazing. Makes the bedroom into a full walk-in closet. Also like the mid-entry door and the cockpit area. Not so sure about the fixed TV though. Hope it's an option to just have a window.
Hello all.
Our likes:
* The kitchen design is great...adding a pull out peninsula would be a bonus, though.
* LOVE the design of the storage under the bed - kudos to the designers.
* The interior colors look great.
Our dislikes:
* We think it’s time for keyless entry/numerical keypads to become standard. Pretty much every other vehicle on the road has that feature now.
* Where’s the pet window on the passenger side?
* The 300 pound weight limit over the cab almost makes that sleeping area useless unless you have two kids that could sleep together without arguing.
* There isn’t much hip room by the toilet. Larger people might have issues with that.
It's not an upper tier motorhome but it has so many pluses. The bedroom setup especially the bed is spot on. The storage under the bed should be standard. Anything bad is nit picking. This is worth it especially for the price.
I always comment about interior because I fast forward past the outside stuff
Dislikes-low over cab bunk weight
-brown cabinetry (sorry I really dislike most brown cabinetry unless it's teak)
-the booth seating colour I prefer rather than the white/cream that the couch and theatre seating is.
Likes- i do like the backsplash and over dinette lighting
-the under bed storage is AMAZING
-overall the coach is great
Andrea, you are truly missed when you aren't filming.
Coachman"s innovation with the lift-up MBR bed, drawers, shoe storage, and seating is going to set a new RV industry standard. As Andrea said, "Why haven't they thought of this before." Class A RVs have come a long way in the last couple of years, and the likes of Coachman, Winnebago, and Fleetwood (among others) taking leadership positions -- plus General's affordable discounted prices -- is great!. Keep it up everyone!

The 3 things I like about this motorhome:
1. the bedroom: good size nightstands, drawers, shoe cubby, mirror, and room under the bed, prepped for stackable washer/dryer
2. interior colors
3. combo: the size of the doorway into the bedroom, living room with opposing slides, and the amount of walkway when the slides are in
The 3 things I don't like about this motorhome:
1. the awning switch placement (I'm about as tall as Matt)
2. the 300 lb capacity for the bunk over the cab
3. the size of the doghouse in the cab and the placement of the cupholders

Let me tell ya guys I would purchase this rig just for what Coachmen has done under the king bed. A mirror, a place for lots of shoes, a soft place to sit and four soft close drawers. That is really amazing. They took the time to put soft close drawers in the bedroom along with the kitchen. Very nice rig for the price, under $135,000. Nice review guys and onwards to 100k. I love this coach but there is one thing I would change. I know the half bath is there for access while traveling but I would really like to see that be a spot for the washer and dryer with a built-in shelf/desk that could be used for folding laundry or as a work desk for those of us that work from home. This won't appeal to everyone but in today's environment it would be really nice for those of us who no longer have to make a trek into the office.
Things that I dislike everything that you guys touched on ➕ if I wanted to full time I NEED not want, an oven.. Full timing is actually living in it. So ya. Love the whole bathroom and that bedroom WOW. The colors used in this RV are really nice! (I never mention colors but) This color combo is fabulous.
I love this RV! The one thing I don't like about it is the practically useless over cab bunk. Also, do the stairs autofold...they didn't when Matt closed the door. I agree with the gentleman who commented the TV should swivel. The cargo capacity is amazing! I love the blinds and the light over the dining room table. And under the bed...OMG!!

Likes: light colored furniture/valences/countertops, living area/TV arrangement, king bed. And just a huge overall round of applause for that beautiful and functional kitchen! 👏
Dislikes: only 300# bunk capacity, same old boring/inflexible dinette, dark wood cabinets. Also why would you ever need two TVs in the same space? It looks weird.
I really like the light over the table. will brighten the the table area for working in the evening
Hi Matt and Andrea, I've been a big fan of the show for about a year now, ever since my wife and I started considering purchasing a Motor Home, your channel has helped us a great deal but over the past month or two we have notice your channel taking a turn toward a wealthier audience, which is fine, it's your show but we were hoping that maybe once a week you could do a motor home for those of us with a more modest income. Really like a lot about this one other than the cabinet color. A white or light color would have been perfect.
WOW! My first time seeing a motorhome with under bed storrage and seating. That and the wide hallway / doorway would definitely be a plus for anyone in a wheelchair.
Love the secret storage & changing area beneath the bed.
Matt I respect you for telling your story on how you and your wife started going below broke. It shows what can be done in life if you work hard. I enjoy watching you and your wife even if I don’t have a plan to buy an RV now but you never know what the future holds. I had a pleasure way but sold it.
Okay, every other RV manufacturer? TAKE NOTE: this, THIS, is how you do a bedroom! WOW! And Matt and Andrea know I am super critical of bedrooms with no nightstands and no electrical outlets/USB ports on both sides. And the storage under the bed which is also a dressing area? OUT OF THE PARK, Coachmen!
We have the 35 OS and my #1 dislike is the placement of the awning switch....what were they thinking?! And I’m shorter than you😂

I think it's very disability friendly! A wheelchair could easily fit!
That 3xtra tv is for teenagers and their video games with headphones... I just figured that out being in our tt with a kid on a game lol
OMG, that under the bed dressing area is AMAZING! And I love the colors too. Also, I would just like to mention that you, Andrea, do an amazing job with the camera. Never a wobble, always steady and the hand offs with Matt are smooth, not jerky. You guys make it look a lot easier than it is.

That is a HANDICAP=compliant hall/bed/dressing area (Andrea the ROCK STAR!) Easy-to-mod bath area also.
TRULY spectacular design. Coachmen overdid this, WOW. Just, WOW.
The interior decor, the LIGHTER colors/finishes selected, make this Coach seem LARGER.

I totally agree with your dislikes. All three of them. Very nice open feeling in the motor home. Love love that bedroom. Such a nice surprise under the bed.
We are really looking at this unit with the white velvet interior, the solarium skylight and a full body paint. The things that are making us look at other units are: a shallow cabinet and small fire place instead of the TV by the dinette, larger weight capacity of the front drop down bunk, remote camp set-up functions, such as awning, slides, outside lighting, and the such.
Love the under bed storage area! Love the nightstands and the bathroom. Nice kitchen/dinette/backsplash.
Don’t like bunk weight- might as well not have it. Miss the oven, washer/dryer should come automatically at anything over $100,000
I love the bedroom and under that bed is awesome! Good to see something new and improved. The bathroom is nice, too, and the stackable w/d option. I dislike: the main TV position is only good for the recliners, the 2nd TV is only good for one side of the dinette and I'd like an oven.

Yeah!! You mentioned the privacy shades and curtains... believe me, living FT in motorhomes is the wave of the present and soon to be future.... visiting family, friends, pandemic parks, historic places, etc... and they're still very appealing to homeowners, condo/co-op-owners or renters, too... Shared your info with interested customers..
I love almost everything about this model... and always want to see some sort of washer/dryer be it the stackable or single unit w/d combo... Love the tub, but it needs one of those teak folding down wall mounted seats. Like to see the walk in showers instead of tubs, half wall with roll up door for it...and I agree with your dislikes...
Nice review as always. Would like to suggest that the 14.25 minutes that you gave to the tires and the rims, if you could give the same amount time if not more to the engine compartment of the RV’s. If I recall the only engine compartment that you do show briefly is the International engine maybe it easy to open😉. It’s the engine that takes the tires and all that storage (which of course we get to see each and every square inch) down the road. Thanks.
That bed is the best feature of any camper we've seen.
Really love this floorplan! That flip-up bed is awesome, the roominess is great, and I love the forward door. The one box this doesn't tick for me is having a normal table and chairs... I just have an irrational hatred of booth dinettes.

Great presentation. Love this gas model. The "show more" did not open to provide the breakdown of features, or standard equipment. However, I fully agree with both of your likes and dislikes. Too bad the 2021 Brochure is not available on line to look at their 2021 available options for the Encore. Love to see the solar panel and roof ladder. Hopefully, they provide Navigation as an option, as many sections of the U.S.A. does not have cell towers. If Navigation is not an available option, I will continue watching your videos. This is the best set-up for my husband and I. However, we wouldn't need or want a bunk over the drivers area. He's 6'4", and I'm 6' so your first issues issues wouldn't be a problem for us. Love the light color with gray trim, and the King Bed w/set-up, comes with such wide walkways, and laundry stack-up at a decent price.

LIKES: Master bedroom (awesome), theater seating, FORD Chassis. Two Dislikes:Not a fan of the front, looks like all the others. Agree with Matt(why hide switches, especially the awning)
I agree with Matt and Andrea on the likes and dislikes except I did not see a cord reel for the power cord. It should have one.

Love this RV!! Love that it has nice sized bedside tables, space under the bed, like the bigger tires, like the counter space, love the color under the awning, like the big microwave and multiple seating. Dislike the bunk capacity weight..too low, dislike cameras on the body sides versus integrated into the side mirrors. Hard to find things not to like on this one!

This a nice Class A home. I live the colors and love the design. The awning button should have been lower than where it is. And the bunk she hold more weight. Other than that I love it. Thank you Matt and Andrea for showing this Class A.

I agree with Matt that the awning button does seem to be in an awkward spot. Overall, I like this motor home. If I had the big bucks, I would definitely consider this one! Dislikes:
1) Bed length (of course)
2) Shower - Has nice length, but is too narrow. I'd constantly bang my elbows unless I stand sideways the entire time.
3) Seating - I'd swap the sofa and TV location with the theater seating, so that you can also see that TV from the dinette, then eliminate what looks like an otherwise useless TV next to the dinette.
Likes:
1) Exterior storage doors (side open slam latch) and the wet bay.
2) Interior upholstery - I like the grey much better than the brown.
3) That dressing area when the bed is lifted! Great idea!!

L: nice walk through space slide-in, that it also appears the bed automatically flattens out when slide goes out; neat under bed storage/dressing area (not good for Matt while still sleeping and Andre gets up early and flips him against the wall so she can put on socks 'n shoes and check out in the mirror); kitchen w/appliances, bathroom size, and that wet bay. D: placement of that awning button; doghouse size, hasn't this been an issue with several new 2021 models?; close ability of the slam latch doors (is it a leveling issue?).
