- Ein vanleg fredag formiddag med eit uvanleg flott vær i Sekk, Bømlo. Sjøen låg klår og stille. Folk drog ut med småbåtane sine for å fiska og kom att med fangst. Det er ikkje kvar dag ein får ein torsk på 15,5 kg på snøre.

An ordinary Friday morning with an unusually beautiful weather in Sekk, Bømlo. The sea was clear and calm. People went out with their small boats to fish and came back with catch. It is not every day that you get a cod of 15.5 kg on a line.
Such a calm, beautiful place - and the pace is so in-tune with inner bliss. We need so much more of this!
What nice gentle boat handling. Compared to what we usually see the States with everybody racing around at full throttle.

I have always loved canoe stern vessels, they coast along nicely and have minimal wake and have better control in following seas.

I had a Identical boat to this in south west UK. and My boat was the only one to ride the bar, because she was was rounded stern-hull. I saw many a flat back the wave doing a pit manoeuvre. then boats capsize. that was only the newbies as all other went out or in on the Full tide.not a following tide.

A good start would be an ex-Navy 26-foot Motor Whale Boat and build from there. You can find them for sale every now and then.
