New boaters take note. Notice how they are careful to NOT sink their vehicle deeper than needed. Many who are new back their car WAY too far; one, you don't need to do that, and two, you end up with salt water corrosion to your brakes, wheels, etc./all. These guys are not experiences, but they do things right--backing down just far enough AND, they go slow and don't act like they have something to prove, which by the way, they don't. Impatient people will rush you--but after you make a mistake, trust me, those A-holes are "nowhere to be found". You guys did well and the fine tuning will come easily with your proper attitude and maturity.
@@jurijs454 If it was your first trip out you did very well. Certainly looked like you knew what you were doing. Just a pointer on your small engine. Make sure it is kicked up. The extra drag will slow you down, but it may also make the engine hop off when you are traveling at speed. Some boats don't cope well with a small engine on the corner like that. It can cause imbalance on some boats and on others, the extra weight can cause the main engine sit too low in the water allowing sea water to douse important parts of the engine that shouldn't really get wet like the hydraulic motor that lowers and raises the engine. The 165 seems to cope well with that weight as far as the boat leaning goes. Keep an eye on how low she sits with the extra weight. Not all boats are equal. Just because it has a mounting bracket on the boat does not mean it copes well with the weight.
