You are welcome
Great team! Excellent job everyone 🙌
Thanks man! It’s been a crazy season already!
Great video. Very helpful.
Glad it was helpful!
Incredible job filming the larva being grafted! Thank you!
Thank you!
Amazing!!!
Thanks
Excellent video Sergei. I appreciate your time and effort you are putting in those videos. Thank you, Alessandro
Thank you !
Excellent view of the larva, thank you!
Thank you! It’s tough teaching this stuff, especially over video.
@@BeeInnovative I appreciate your efforts!
@@calvinkalmon6746 thank you!
Great video! Thank you!
Thanks
Very good video. Everything explained very well. Thank you for this insight into your work. I saw the video from California Beekeeper and there you briefly introduced your automatic feeding system. Maybe you could make a video where you introduce the system in more detail and then you can recreate it. Thank you very much and greetings from Germany.
Hello Germany 🇩🇪 thank you! I’ll be making that video soon just need to find the time
Your tech is over the top!! Awesome!!!
Thank you!
Love that video, that’s some great graphting too
Thanks
@@BeeInnovative no worries, just wondering where do you get those mini timing box graphting frames from, I love them.
@@kodi.hartMTB we make them.
@@BeeInnovative oh ok cool
Отлично, коллега👍
Спасибо 🙏🏻
Nice
interesting to see your process. I'm not familiar with that grafting tool. Need to check that out.
We like it! It’s called a master grafting tool
I am curious what the light is your using on your grafting station. It appears skinny yet extremely bright and can be positioned below your eyes but above the frame your grafting from. I'd like to get one (or 2) just like it.
The lamp was an Amazon purchase, it doesn't have any labels on it, the lamp holder is by a company called Mediflex
Thanks! I'll check it out and see what I can find.
I have that same grafting tool. I would like to see the moods you did. Thank you
Okay I’ll put it on the list.
@@BeeInnovative i did not have to much success with it. It seems to kick back when push lever down. Yours seems to go straight down.
@@bamabeesqueens did you use royal jelly?
@@BeeInnovative no. I need to collect some from swarm cells.
@@bamabeesqueens try it and let me know how it worked for you!
How long can you keep the royal jelly useable or the shelf life?
We don’t. We use it right away. I know there are methods of extending its shelf life however we don’t practice them. Ultimately fresh is always best, and that’s what we always aim for
Do you harvest your own royal jelly for the graphting or do you buy it?
We collect it ourselves.
@@BeeInnovative oh ok cool 👍
Hey Sergey, do you think that the restriction of the egglaying rate on the smaller frame for two days of a breeder queen, gives you larvea of better quality?
Maybe not better quality, but it does give us time before the hive decides to leave the nuc because it’s out of space. It’s more flexible in our opinion.
@@BeeInnovative yes, I understand! I did some observations this year, we have very poor weather this spring in central europe and well, somtimes the virgins emerge in the incubator..., I see that about 2-3% of totally good looking cells (on the 8 day nice abdomen, nice everything) don`t emerge and other 2-3% of the virgins are dying after 1-2 houers even if they eat a honey royal jelly mix which I provide, do you have any explenation for this??
@@patrickwalther1074 could be a lot of factors. Queens Usually only eat royal jelly. If you have a queen that escape she will kill the other queens through the cage. Sometimes the bees will kill her, who knows why. Change things up and make notes of what works and what does not. That's what we do all the time.
In which way and how long can the royal jelly be stored?
I know you can freeze it. However we just use it the same day.
@@BeeInnovative did I understand correctly you use 1/3 of cup shown for jelly and fill same cup until half full or a separate half cup of water is added to the 1/3 cup?
@@tyleregan9927 You are correct 1/3 cup jelly and then add another little bit of water just to make it a little more liquid. We use drinking water
how do you collect the jelly
With a small flat stick. It looks like a popsicle stick
