HummerBee Wiring Mast
HummerBee wiring mast red and amber lights.
I'm not advocating that this is the correct way of doing this, I'm not an expert, this is simply the way I chose to wire.
The controller that I end up using is a Switchpros force 12, link below.
The best place to get all of the connectors, wire, really anything electrical is from Waytek Wire. Lights are the Squadron Pro Black Flush Mount LED in Amber. The red lights are Truck-Lite (6050) Stop/Turn/Tail Lamp

Making Holes In Caps the Hardest Way Possible!
How did y’all make that secure trip thing at the top so that the lids of the hives don’t fall
On the forklift? It’s called a clamp. I have a video on it. We did not make it from scratch, but we did modify it.
Here years later. Thank you!
Perfect video interesting, i never know cells cen be shipped. Which day you send they, how long shipment takes. And when they emerge. Thanks a lot
We ship them on the 11th day. They start hatching during shipping. We always ship next day.
@@BeeInnovative 👍👍👍👍 thank you
Hello there where we can buy the trailer and how much it’s the price?
Great northern trailers. In Washington. You’ll have to call them. It’s called the Beekeeper trailer. Around $8k
I am curious what the light is your using on your grafting station. It appears skinny yet extremely bright and can be positioned below your eyes but above the frame your grafting from. I'd like to get one (or 2) just like it.
The lamp was an Amazon purchase, it doesn't have any labels on it, the lamp holder is by a company called Mediflex
Thanks! I'll check it out and see what I can find.
So Good!!!!
Do you guys build your own boxes, 'cause I love the simple design! Thanks.
Yes we do
Are plans available?
@@bettydaltonnewbold2019 are you asking for the technical blueprints of the bee boxes?
What's going on???
Congrats from Greece!
I’m impressed. Seriously though, you transgenders are on top of the game.
I am a welder and heavy equipment mechanic. Yes, these keep the water and dust out, but, they still need grease. The pressure of the bushing in the cylinder eye pressing on the pin will 100% push the grease out of the joint. They absolutely still need grease. What is happening inside there is the grease is seperating and has an oil that is keeping it from squeaking. That is not at all the same lubrication or protection as actual grease.
Maybe I was not clear there is grease in the boot. Usually we greased them every couple of days. How we don't have to because the boot keeps them clean and lubed.
👍💪
very nice...I'd enjoy beekeeping with thus setup.
FANTASTIC. As a generalized hacker I have had great results with basic trucker's hitch. This self locking hitch is next level. :)
Great video. Very helpful.
Glad it was helpful!
Awesome ❤
Super interesting video as usual, very good all your thoughts. Greetings from 🇨🇱 Chile.
Great video.... i guess instead of 3 pieces of ropes, you can start and finish with one piece of a very long rope; 3 rounds .. correct?thanx..
Привет Сергей!Видео не снимаешь, очень жаль.Меня вдохновляют твоя работа
Thanks 👍
Hello, Nadia! Thank you for sharing your process and equipment arrangement. What an outstanding facility you have there with those very convenient platforms. Thank you for taking the time to comment on the video I recently shared. I wish you all the best with your queen production.
Thank you! Means a lot to us
@@BeeInnovative You are very welcome! :)
What floater is it? I need one at home
Shop Valves Online MA052 1/2" Mini Float Valve, Adjust
Super cool! I'd love to learn more about these projects 👍👍
Hi There, I can't get the governor out, I have stripped everything.. Is there anything holding it in place?
You need to take off the front cover, the high psi pump and the beck of the governor, I believe there is a retaining clip.
What is part number for float valve at the hives?
We use two styles. One is adjustable and the other is not. M052 PVC Mini Float Valve
We had the same problem, we took the governor off and it was worn in the same spot, and a new (used) governor fixed it. Thanks for posting this!
Really helpful , thank you
You are welcome
Just when you thought you'd seen all the trucker's hitches... along comes... a better trucker's hitch.
Hell again, do you still run swingers? Where do you get your parts or where did you get your parts?
@Ets Bees it depends on the parts. Most are common parts so I just google them. Or the local auto parts store, rock auto is also an option. Some parts I get from the A & O direct. Yes we run two swingers and one hummerbee turbo
@@BeeInnovative I thought A&O went under
@@ETsBees they are now hummerbee. Same company, different name.
You know.. you can load a lot more bees on those trucks and trailers right 😁😂 especially if you are not going by any scales😉
That is true. The question is, is it worth the risk?
@@BeeInnovative ABSOLUTLY! Just make sure you workers hook up the trailer correctly.... I will have to make a video of cutting out a part of the bed on a pickup to weld in a new piece 😁
hello . can you explayn how work oil pressure valve ?>
This a governor, it regulates the throttle for the engine. Oil pressure is different. You have the oil pump which creates flow only. Then you have a restrictor usually a spring with a plunger that creates resistance in the line, which creates back pressure.
So there is a queen below chimney ?
Yes there is a queen in the bottom box. The only queen less hive we run are the queen banks. Everything else have queens
Now let see there is a queen below the cell chimney ?
Ford dodge and Chevy just needs more competition when it comes to 4x4 flatbed. Isuzu is a way better choice.
Ford dodge and Chevy just needs more competition when it comes to 4x4 flatbed. Isuzu is a way better choice.
Isuzu does offer a 4x4 option. Just not in the US.
Excellent job. A lot of thought and experience!
Thank you!
I just find you guys. Thank for your hard work. Are you located in California? I like to ask some questions about almond pollination.
Thank you! We are located in California. What is your question
When you’re towing the hummerbee trailer with the Isuzu doesn’t that put you over 26k lbs? Would you technically need a cdl?
No. The Isuzu is 19.5 K lb max The trailer and and forklift are 6-7k You are right at the limit! I’m not saying if the bees are a little bit heavier than you expect, you will go away over quickly, but that is the absolute maximum you can have. Ultimately, I would recommend just getting a class A, but good luck getting a class a driver. That will also work with 🐝
Can you show that to us with a full load of bees?😂 I just bought myself a 1600 swinger super happy with it, now I just need to make some $$ and get me a new hummerbee
Are you asking about the trailer? Or the HummerBee?
@@BeeInnovative show us moving the trailer full of bees with the hummerbee
@@ETsBees 🤔 okay, we usually use the truck for that but will do it just for you!
@@BeeInnovative I want to see that too. So it for me too😆😆
Very nice videos....i'm beekeeper from Greece 🇬🇷 and I have Chanel in youtube Thanos Revenisios
There you go breaking stuff again
😂 this is true!
Easy to lift and re-attache. Definitely would like to see the how-to-make-it vide. Good job!
great idea, will be stolen soon 😉
As you should! If there is enough interest I could make a video on how to make them.
@@BeeInnovative i think it is really obvious how they are made, but well I‘m quite into building stuff myself (last project was a bee crane, that now need a paint job done to finish). But for other people that aren’t as deep into that, it could help a lot. But one question, what type of material did you use for the sunscreen? I now thought about using silage netting ä, since it is quite stable, UV stable and at hand. Else maybe just search for shade netting at the agricultural store….? Also allready getting all the material for the feeding system. Will alter it a little, instead of an ibc tote and pump, i will be using a 1000 L steel pressure Tank and just put a 12 V air compressor on it, or maybe just fill it up to 600-700 L and pressurize it to 8 bars once.
@@kaistumer198 steel tank will work also, I just don't like pressure tanks, they can always fail. The sun shade is a 90% green shade from tarp outlet. Send me some photos when you have it working.
@@BeeInnovative Sure I will do so.
You know, I see it being good how watertight it is. But having all your eggs on one basket doesn’t seem best. Have you used these before and how long?
I have not use this product for more than one year so far. However the components they use are proven and automotive and racing communities for decades now. They are least likely to fail. But in case they do I have a back up ready to go. The most problematic parts in wiring are usually the connectors, that is unless you break through the wiring.
So what I'm hearing is when we buy our lift, we can rewire it together 😉🤙
Absolutely! 😆
Yes, I appreciate your perspective on things.
Thanks
