    You can have some of my water...
    8 inches in April and May looks like it might be another soaker. Weather forecast calling for chances of rain/storms through next weekend. Although, your Flagship sure is doing the job. My Fescue seems to get as tall as the house in just a few days! I think the city is relaxing the maximum of 9 inch tall grass. People having a hard time getting the grass cut with the rain. Come the dog days of summer we'll be praying for rain, lol!

    How long do run the sprinklers for ?

    I've never spliced pvc with the rubber irrigation tubing, only used notched push-in connectors (which are hard to find). Learned something new!!! Much easier and cheaper to use the PVC connectors.
    Also, why two types of connection "goop"? Also, does the goop ever clog/narrow your tubing?

      the purple stuff is primer and the other is the actual cement. I've never had any issues with clogging but I def should be a little neater when I goop it on too lol

    I put down prodiamine 3 weeks ago. In about a week is it okay to patch up some dryer areas with new seed/soil to try and get some growth?

    • @yardmastery
      @yardmastery  Před 3 měsíci +1

      the prodiamine will likely stop any seed from growing unless you really rough up the soil down 2-3" and even then it may still hinder the seed. Probably best to wait until fall if you can.

      @@yardmastery awesome thank you! Will putting soil with the seed help, or just push to fall altogether?

    The black flex hose is 1/2 in diameter? The 90 degree elbow you use to connect black flex hose to sprinkler is 1/2 slip female connector with a male 3/4 thread?

    • @abelcao5366
      @abelcao5366 Před 2 měsíci

      all depends on the hose ur using and attaching

    I bought a home in Central Alabama. It was a divorce situation, so it was "as is" but at $125,000 under full list of $285,000. Seems the drunk husband yanked the sprinkler head and part of in ground hose from three sprinkler system. It's a Rainbird system, which I have just turned off. It was far down the list.
    In this video at 5:15 is what the pull up heads look like. It's like underground hose and not a pipe.
    Where and how to begin?

      The black flexible pipe is called a funny pipe/swing pipe which usually allows one to move a sprinkler head a couple feet off the main rigid PVC line (white). You need to trace the black pipe back to the main pipe and make sure it's still connected with no leaks. If no leaks, then feel free to bury it again back in the ground.
