@@super_cool_guy152 In Tno Universe : Dmitry Yazov is the protégé of Dmitry Karbyshev, founder of the All-Russian Black League. He succeeds Karbyshev as Glavkoverkh (commander-in-chief) of Omsk after his master's death.
2 - What is the grat trial ? : When Karbyshev created the Black League, it was with the belief that, someday, the Germans would return to conquer, pillage, and exterminate all of Russia, and if the Russian people were not prepared they would be destroyed in a conflict he called "the Great Trial," as contrasted with the "First Trial" of the second world war.
However, by the time Karbyshev committed suicide, his power had already been utterly usurped by an ambitious younger core of officers who twisted his message. When his chosen successor, Yazov, takes power, he realizes that Karbyshev has killed himself and deals with it by deciding that, just as his mentor and idol met death on his own terms, so too must all of Russia, cementing once and for all the modern idea of the Great Trial (which I would post in red for maximum scare points but turns out reddit doesn't allow that): an offensive, genocidal war fought for the purpose of killing the very idea of Germany and wiping its people off the map.
The current plan of the Great Trial (again, in red) is thus: a first wave of Russian troops will first conquer RK Moskowien, utilizing "revenge weapons" of biological and chemical nature against the Germans and on the "insufficiently resistant" Russian "collaborators" who live there. They will then push ever deeper into German territory until they cause global, thermonuclear war, whereupon the second wave of troops, hidden deep in underground bunkers along with the Black League's leadership, will emerge and storm the irradiated ruins of Germany to wipe out all who survive.
