Its been in the game for over half a year now. Waveframes are not free kills if you know how to counter them. Airplay and baiting shots are a good way to ensure they waste their special ammo. The launchers have no proximity detection and frequently go in the wrong direction. Aside from the questionable AOE, they arent good at long range. This playstyle focuses on closing the gap. If you die, your teammates are looking at a 2v3 every round.
@@haloboy817yeah but in air play is a death sentence for most classes, excluding this one and solar lock. And dying leaving your teammates in a 2v3 is true for everyone in the game
its actually balanced, the counter is very accessible and thats being mobile

I ran it today, dmt or Ace seems like the best fits but I enjoyed Hawkmoon the most. The only downside was any of the reloading perks cancelled my paracasual shots. I had to decide at points that if I wanted to grapple or go for that high damage final bullet.

If your playing a smaller map one of my fave combos is a slideshot Lonesome just cause how fun it is, and I can’t wait for next season to try it with Warden’s Law.
Hard recommend you obviously run Thread of Generation, Kickstart mods for your grenade and impact induction alongside with bomber and outreach, you almost always have your grenade for an engagement it’s beautiful.
Also remember your super gives you unlimited grapples and dodge charges so the super actually has use for topping off your abilities once you’ve used it as best you can.
Definitely gonna try this out

By the way, there's a very minor misunderstanding about guardian health here--a max resil guardian has 200 health, not 202. I am guessing there are some rounding or display errors going on if you're getting resil gated by EP->140HC body. Gonna do the math as I type this out.
A 140HC does 46.50 bodyshot per d2foundry (Destiny always rounds damage numbers up, so it displays 47). Multiply that by 1.5 for Disruption Break and add 131 from the wave frame and you get 200.75, which SHOULD kill all resiliences. d2foundry shows wave frames doing 130 damage, not 131, but it also displays some of that as direct impact damage for some reason, so I'm not completely inclined to trust it there. However, if it does do 130.00001 damage or whatever, then it would do under 200 damage and get resil-gated by titans, despite displaying more than 200.

I main hunter but haven't played strand or with a wave frame in crucible. I took both into Iron Banner and had players chasing me down with malice in their heart. 😂 Admittedly, my movement is awful right now and i don't use the full strand potential in some scenarios but now I see the potential. I did watch some players running in groups understand the wave frame play style and adapt. I'll have to change load outs to counter. New sub
I was never able to get explosive personality crafted, are there any alternatives while I wait to be able to craft it overtime

Does the build fall apart at the seams if I dont have an Explosive? I didn't play during whatever season the GL dropped
You could get away with using a disruption break prodigal return or another tube launcher, using a normal wave frame, or just using a shotgun
Fellow hunters, do not sleep on Frostees.
i use this with wave frame for consistency and shotgun or snipe for flashiness and fun
is there any alternate for the grande launcher, is pretty hard to get atm

On the subject of the DB grenade launcher, you said 140 hand cannons are 1hp point shy of a body shot clean up, would explosive rounds solve this? Iirc, they do slightly more body damage correct?
Not sure, but I wouldn't worry about it too much since you're only 1 short on damage if your opponent happens to have 10 resilience
@@Izanamii I have to try it out. I have a max range QuickDraw\explosive Rose that would be perfect. 10 resilience is fairly common in in this meta from my experience so I think it'd be more consistent.

There aren't really any alternatives, next season the exotic mission rotator will include explosive personality as a drop though!

I suck ass at PvP. But when I play, it’s usually with Explosive Personality. Then probably Crimson and Arthrys Embrace. Just fun.

could dragons shadow be good with this build? Its the only hunter exotic I have a decent roll on so I am wondering if it is any good
No, using the air dodge on strand doesn't activate dragon's shadow
