it looks like disruption break isn't working sometimes because you hit them with the thorn b4 or at the same time the gl registers because the wave takes time to travel.
No, is that his hitting with Thorn while the wave hits them and haven't applied DB

that’s weird. the only bug i’ve had with it is the wave won’t do any damage but it’ll still proc disruption break
The issue with disruption break is that your handling is hella fast and your swapping and shooting before the wave hits him
That’s why proxy disruption truthteller works a lot better

I was super disappointed by this gun at first, tried it fully stacked on dexterity mods, quick access sling a 100 handling dire promise and I was consistently never getting db to work as I was swapping too fast, then I just put on ace that has mediocre handling and it worked just fine.
I use dmt with high handling and ophidians… way too fast. But dmt usually gets the work done

There’s also actually a bug with the disruption break on this thing, where if you barely miss them with the wave it still procks disruption break on them sometimes so your primary still does more

the inconsistency with buffs/debuffs and procs in pvp is usually just due to latency and the unpredictably weird ways it impacts things in destiny. I noticed the same thing using the warlock verity's brow mag nade build that relies on the weaken debuff proccing on the stick impact before the two explosions happen. Every now and then the first explosion is regular damage instead of buffed and it ruins the whole thing.
I used it then i remembered why i liked it and... I equiped my love, my life : the holy fighting Lion. Except i do not spam like a toddler, i use it for preventive strike, barrage or execute. Coupled with peacekeepers and a killing wind/encore submission, it's pure, beautiful.

I tried this with sturm and it was nice when the sturm would reload the gl after the clean-up
I think what was happening when you didn’t get the procs was because you hit them with Thorn before the GL.
Try a disruption break truthteller with Sturm combo. Sturm has amazing handling and Sturm kill reloads your GL so you can keep fast switching. It my personal fav :)

Been using this with a kill clip loud lullaby for about a month and a half and that loud lullaby 2 taps with kill clip so it pretty nice
I have had people tell me that enhanced auto-loading is only half a second faster than regular auto-loading, This is what makes Izzy swapping with an enhanced auto-loading rocket possible if you try to use regular auto loading when your Izzy Swapping it won't reload the rocket fast enough.

I actually think this’d be more potent with Ace or some sorta Kill Clip primary. Prime the target, swap to ace, bam you got a kill and suddenly you have Memento Mori for the next fight.
Lumina you can keep the buff to 1shot with the gl and when that isn't active you can swap cleanup and get the db buff.
Been using this for awhile. Got it to drop before crafting. I've never used GL's in Crucible, but I absolutely love this thing. I had a 15-0 elimination game with it. It's 5/5 for sure

I've got a truthteller I love with auto loading, disruption break, Proximity grenades
Enhanced auto loading makes it 0.2 seconds faster, it's not a lot but it's noticeable in some situations

d2gunsmith says 0.2s faster, so 2.5s drops to 2.3s

The grenade it shoots has a burst right as it hits the ground, it doesn't have much damage and doesn't Actually need to break their shield in PvP to proc disruption break. The wave itself does not really seem to proc it, its the initial burst as it hits the ground that proc's it so it best to aim directly at their feet not so much the length of the wave.
I've been using it a lot in pve, it's gonna be bonkers good in solar 3.0

I really hope we get a stasis wave frame that has the inverse of disruption break. Or something like chain reaction where enemies freeze then shatter. It would be an awesome PvE weapon. I really wish bungie had made the DSC weapons stasis since it was on europa. It made perfect sense but nope. Sorry for the random tangent.

Thorn is an exception, but the only time an explosive personality + hc bodyshot wouldn’t kill is when the enemy has t10 resil, as you do 200.5 damage when they have 201 health, so keep that in mind if you plan on using this in trials and see a titan with 10 resil

Disruption break doesn’t have a cooldown I try to shoot it at their feet so it activates before I switch and shoot my hc for the bonus damage

I think it depends on p2p latency whether DB procs or not. when you shoot your primary, the target's client may not be "aware" of the 130 damage and shield break yet

Enhanced autoloader is 2.3 seconds opposed to 2.5 seconds on the palmyra (sp?) Iirc.
Does disruption break deactivate before the full damage of thorn hits? You should be using Lumina. You could almost always be buffed or even double buffed.

GLs are actually going to be viable counters to fusion rifles next season since they are restoring the blast radius.
Only fighting Lion other GL are unaffected by that buff

Yep. Whenever I see someone say the raid GL is a straight upgrade over Salvager's Salvo I just laugh. The ability to shoot the target you actually want to hit is nice. Wave frames? You can shoot a grenade and have the wave go sideways, backwards, etc. Plus against flying enemies like wizards, they're essentially useless. Great for dumb trash mobs, but only if the map's geometry is nice to you

It is on a cooldown, on one of your clips it didn't work then thorn ticked from 7 to 10 so it worked
If you have a steady hand with quickdraw snap thats the best companion for this gun
Disruption break is inconsistent so using a 120 it's just giving u slower clean ups if u are too fast with the swap

The hit registration on weapons that have travel time tends to be a bit delayed in this game so it happens way more often that it should that your hc shot hits before the disruption break proc the better your hc handling is the more frequently it happens.

Wallah, I believe a bottom dollar with high impact reserves may be able to one shot body before disruption procks from the launcher. If I am correct in that high impact reserves gives a maximum of 6% increased damage then 50*.6=30 30+50= 130+80=210 by this logic even a max result guardian couldn’t rank this. 6% is assuming the final round. So considering the lowest increase 3% 50*.3=65+130=195 which means you would be able to kill 7 resil or lower. Ideally I would aim for handling mw, fluted barrel, Accurized rounds, slideshot, HIR, thus you can keep HIR procked and you can get upwards of 38m in range while maintaining a respectable 68 handling
Bottom dollar and this GL (and every wave frame GL) are both in the energy slot
Now use empirical evidence with encore adagio, you won’t be disappointed.

The thing with most specials is that shotguns are still the bar, and personally I love gls; however, you have to ask yourself, “is this doing anything different from a shotgun, and does it do anything better than a shotgun?” This won’t deter most, but you do have to realize that they fulfill a very similar roll to shotguns. Besides, of course, the ability to team shot far away
you can bounce it around corners to prep people before you push or finish them off.

Its just that you swap to a different weapon before the flame hits them, BUT if you use a kinetic primary that has distruption break then it still works
