Russia wins less medals than the US on total, and Russia has a state sponsored doping program.
US athletes aren't all more "genetically superior" to Russian athletes, they just get away with doping on a higher scale than even the Russians. The only reason this came to light is because Russia got caught.

What does this story tell us when the 34. and 35. place is to blood dopers?
Austrian sports chief says „they are just idiots, and these were just single cases as Austria would be too small to create organized
doping structures and of course the germans are the bad boys to create this scandal just at the world championships in austria to cause harm „--aha!
It tells ME that the first til 33. place must be highly suspicious either!I‘m in cycling and knew what gerolsteiner as a team had to go through as the chief Hans did not know what his team doctor did behind closed doors when he was interviewed every stage evening
and telling what he believed were clean riders,so he promoted anti doping while the guys he paid good stebbed in his back.
They lie til the end and have ruined our beloved sport.Get those guys out of the bunch, organized doping will end your career plus
    payback of income,price money,sponsorships etc
it is a system failure: too much pressure for results and too many playin dirty tricks, believe me,we are not talking about winning-
we are talking about a clean rider getting dropped at the first highway bridge!
As soon as it goes uphill more red blood cells will give you significant advantage by 5-8%!
So I hope many will get busted so the clean athletes will probably earn few more 💵 dollars

Well, this allowed the internal viewer to present it as another insult from the West, which increased the effect of the capture of the Crimea. And this time it will be the same, almost certainly. So this is just another tactical move of putin.
