He also apparently said to June in 1977 “If you had not left, none of this would have happened.” So I really do think they were perfect for eachother
I feel like June was better for Marc than Gloria was. She helped him become successful, he stayed somewhat level headed when with her and was a lovely woman. Just discovered Marc Bolan & T.Rex .... from what I’ve read I happen to agree with you! It’s a shame he didn’t stay with June. Marc was a gorgeous talented man.

I feel like they were equals too, they both were spiritual and vegetarian and had alot in common really. Neither of them finalised their divorce and I think that's because they still cared/loved eachother. It's a shame they didn't stay together because I really do think they were meant for eachother and I agree, Marc's a very gorgeous man!
The most valuable lesson here is this... be VERY careful who you associate with, who you allow into your life, and who you are intimate with. Getting involved with even one single low life can send you down the wrong path and even completely ruin your life before you even realize what's happening. From what I've seen, this is exactly what happened to Marc when he got involved with Gloria. She's got poisonous low life written all over her. Avoid her, and he's probably still alive today.

Unfortunately, Marc became obsessed with fame and image, and stopped developing as a musician. Tony Visconti tried to encourage Marc to learn some new chords to freshen up his music. David Bowie was much more focused on musical creativity and art. This is easy to both see and hear.
