I dunno, I feel more like Alder didn't get sent from the future to the past but instead the other way around. He was the hero in the past in ancient Hisui and was sent forward in time to Unova where he would eventually become the champion. Would explain why he carries so many Pokeballs on him despite the rules saying you can only carry six as well as his issues with technology and why he dosent use a PC to store his Pokemon and instead keeps them on his person at all times. Man from the past would feel strange about turning Pokemon into "data" and putting them in a "computer" instead of letting them graze on a ranch when they aren't actively being used.

In short, I believe Enamorus is living with Cogita in modern days. But this builds up upon another popular theory in the Japanese community: Cogita is somehow immortal.
This isn't very farfetched since AZ is also immortal and lived for thousands of years. This theory popped out because a couple reasons, two of which are mentioned in this video.
One of them is that Enamorus was mentioned in the Old Verses, and a lot of the verses are just carrying the words from ancient people including the lore of Hisui that Cogita is passing down. But the author didn't leave like the other Celestica People, but rather stayed in Hisui, and this author is good buddies with Enamorous and flying around the region, I wonder who this person is...
Second of all is, Cogita specifically pointed out that you the player will die. This actually is hinting that she does not die like normal people, rather saying she knows she will outlive you. I'm not sure how it feels in the English text, but in Chinese (when I'm playing) it really sounds like she is saying after you die Enamorus will come back to her, so she is "temporarily" letting you have her.
There are also some subtle hints like Cogita saying how life is long and painful, she acts like she really has seen a lot of people and places, but she is living alone in an isolated place. Speaking of this, she doesn't look like she has any family, like her parents, her spouse, or her kids. We know Volo is somehow related to her be definitely not the closest member of her family. If she is immortal this actually makes sense since any people who don't age will freak out any people who know them.
In short, I believe Cogita helped build the Celestic Town in the Ancient Retreats, left her descendent in charge if the town (likely Cynthia's grandmother or great grandmother), then left the town along with Enamorus to another isolated place to live her life with Enamorus again.
It's actually a popular theory in the Japanese community that not only Cogita, but Volo is actually immortal too. They provided some Japanese text of the Hiker in Sinjho Ruins that he actually speaks like Volo in the Japanese text. This cannot be seen in English, because in Japanese there are multiple phrases that can refer to the same thing but are used by different people like Volo refers to himself in a very special way in Japanese (But it is just translated into "I" in English). Also the hiker outfit somehow does look like Volo's merchant outfit but in a different color palette. This person is alone with Cynthia in a ruin that is heavily worshiping Arceus, if he is Volo then that makes total sense.

    • @hhjan594
      @hhjan594 Před 2 lety +12

Oh yeah, this theory actually works perfectly with the Alder Cogita shipping thing, because if Cogita is immortal, then she is the author of the old verses, which means she really has met Alder in the past.

The Abundant Shrine and the Celestic Town shrine both remind me of Celebi’s shrine in Ilex Forest. I’m honestly surprised you didn’t mention it and mention the Sinjoh Ruins connection.
Another fun implication in the game is that Legendaries can leave whenever they want, even if you’re still alive. They just choose to stick around, because you’ve proven yourself worthy.
    Oh great, the Alder theory…
I don’t think the “paradox” works, even if Alder *was* the Ancient Hero. Furthermore, I think that if/when the player returns to the present, they canonically leave all of their Pokémon behind. (Home connectivity isn’t canon.)

Other pokemon can just abandon their trainers and just leave, even if they were caught. Team Rocket has attempted to steal Pokemon many times which wouldn't make any sense if the trainers could just return them to their balls
Edit: wasn't there a farfetch'd that was under someone's ownership in HGSS that needed to be cornered before it could be returned?

You do forget that Trainers can ALSO "Release" their Pokémon. Maybe instead of the Player Character dying in the past. Arceus asked the player to release them before being sent back to the future. The legendaries waiting so long for the return of the Trainer they befriended in the past. Though instead of the exact Trainer, they meet a younger version that has yet to befriend them. And thus they battle to test those Trainers. 🤔
Though, that does kind off explain why Giratina never went along with Cyrus' plan though. 🤔 I mean: Instead of going along with it like he did with Volo, he tried to stop Cyrus. And after thattested his unknowing old trainer to see if they truly are the same trainer.🤔
Though it does makes me wonder why Palkia is the partner of Cyrus in Pokémon Masters EX tho. 🤔 Does Palkia truly believe in Cyrus? Or~ is Palkia Cyrus' partner to try to keep Cyrus in check? 🤔
Kinda wished that they would have added a present day scene after you caught all the Pokémon (or all shiny versions of said Pokémon, and completed every dex entry), showing what happened to the Cyrus' ancestors and why they suddenly started to think like Volo. And why Volo's future family eventually became protectors of the world and the myths and worked against Cyrus. 🤔
Or maybe Cynthia actually has a dark past or dark future connected to Volo. And she is only pretending to be the good guy and is actually the ultimate bad guy? 🤔

Given that we don't see new Pokemon until their main region comes out, isn't it just more likely that Enamorus is just chilling in a different region and just never went back to the previous generation regions until of course we actually meet her in said region?
So if Enamorus can be found in Scarlet and Violet maybe then we might see her in Unova in remakes or some Unova themed future title.
Or even better, given the amount of locations the player cannot visit due to the programming of the game, like how you can't go to Johto from a Kanto themed game even though Johto is a region that exists (and can only go to Kanto when Johto is the main theme because of the game because of 2nd generation) perhaps there's a location in the Unova region that you just aren't able to access where Enamorus was there the whole time, you just weren't allowed to go there due to the limitations of the game.

I think there's a decent case to be made that enamorus, being the herald of spring, hasn't shown up in other games because she's where the season of spring is.
Either that or she finds her "brothers" intolerable; she wasn't in Unova because all three of her brothers were there.
For a third theory: maybe enamorous is the one that follows landorus; Tornadus causes wind, Thundurus causes storms (making them both annoying to civilisation), Landorus appears thereafter to heal the land (and so gets the press for cleaning up his brothers' mess), and Enamorus comes after him, and thus she comes in times of peace when nobody's expecting one of the genies about. She's not in BW because your protagonist stopped looking after they found Landorus, assuming the quartet was complete.

Should be noted a few things.
Enamorus could just be chilling in Sinnoh and yes both times.
While the Unova games do have a season mechanic its entirely possible the games do have a canon season, or rather period of time, which id suspect is the tailend of winter or beginning of spring. This would allow Enamorus to be over doing its groundhog day thing in Sinnoh while also explaining the cold of Unova(cause of the ties to Kyurem).
As for the Braviary thing, Cynthia being Cynthia could have just caught it because she knows Sinnohs history and myths and was all "when in Unova should use Braviary" and it should be noted at that, it replaces her (platinum team) Togekiss who starting with gen 6 is Fairy/Flying the same type as Enamorus. Granted this would hold more credit if she had Basculin instead of Electross, but even then Togekiss replaced her Gastrodon which was a water type pokemon with two forms.

Simplest answer, Enamorous was captured by someone else who hasn't been in a region while game plots were happening.
Also, if Enamorous is in a time loop, you either create a paradox where there are two of the same one always existing in the same period of time within the loop (snake eating it's own tail) or you continually spawn parallel realities as she loops through time, constantly living only in the past.
But then there's also Home. When Home compatibility is added, Enamorous can be pulled from her current time and reality and moved to future games, like Scarlet and Violet. So in a way, a mechanic of the franchise can explain her disappearance.

Maybe it was just hanging out in a different Region (Scarlet and Violet) perhaps. Legendaries are also long lived. A human life may just be a day for them. A nice day but still not a long time. Cogita also kinda implied that she will outlive the trainer so maybe through some ancient mystic rituals she is basically immortal and Enamorus always returns to her.
Also the pokedex does state that it punishes those who doesn't respect life. Maybe it is in some different region to hide the hisuian forms she took there to protect from humans. As a protector of life. And so we can encounter and catch those forms in later games. Maybe help with re establishing them too.
Or for all we know the reason we see a hisuian zoroark in Scarlet and Violet is because something like Bills Time capsule makes a return and space time distortions happen there too. Like one shouldn't try to interpret much into logos but the font for Violet looks more futuristic while Scarlet looks more older. So for all we know time travel is a theme as it was before in pokemon games. Maybe a return of Looker as he was missing.
In Platinum it´s kinda shown that the weather got colder. There is more snow. So less reason for it to appear.
Or through all our journeys Enamorus is simply just always with a different trainer than us so thats why we do not see it.

Personally, in the games, this question is mostly answered: the presence of humans in Sinnoh were few and far between, technology wasn't dominant. It would seem that Enamorous and the other Hisuian forms became extinct due to changes in their environment, plus other pokemon in Legends weren't in the future games of Diamond and Pearl (and Platinum). Basculegian, Wyrdeer, etc are all extinct in the modern games due to their environment being changed so drastically, and eventually pokemon like Stantler etc are able to migrate to other regions with suitable environments that made them not need to evolve.
That's my theory anyway. Other pokemon changed their appearance and forsaken their types in Hisui to cope with the changes. After all, there is no more need for Braviary to be psychic in modern games: it was probably bred out.

They never officially said any of the Pokémon in this game went extinct, all we got was in the anime special they were referred to as “forgotten pokemon”. So they could show up anywhere in anytime and make sense, I think that’s why a lot of people were worried about them adding new Pokémon to this game since it is set in the past and it would cause plot holes and break continuity.

Enamorus was ALWAYS in Sinnoh, but you couldn't encounter it because it would only appear if you prove yourself by catching Tornadus, Thunderus, and Landorus...just like in Legends Arceus?
However, this is impossible in Sinnoh because Tornadus, Thunderus, and Landorus can't be found there anymore & you can't just move them BACKWARDS into Sinnoh because the Sinnoh player character has/had no idea the quartet exists/existed?

I actually think there is loads of evidence for it.

    • @dvklaveren
      @dvklaveren Před 2 lety

      @@BirdKeeperToby Let's tackle this.
First, the portrait you keep using as evidence doesn't show ten balls, it shows six and the cloak is open. Alder's Ancestor uses six pokéballs.
Second, Alder doesn't use ten pokéballs. He uses a minimum of twelve, even in his official art. We also know why; Because he doesn't know how computers work, so he tacitly ignores rules that say he may carry only six pokéballs.
The Ancient Hero isn't required to stick with the rules of the Pokémon League. The only reason more people don't walk around with more is because they're not allowed to. So Alder using more pokémon than average doesn't actually prove anything.
Third, the Ancient Hero isn't an ancestor of the Diamond and Pearl Clan. They're new to these lands, even if they aren't aware of it. They have no reason to have an accurate portrait of the Ancient Hero, nor agree on he would have looked like. The fact that they both agree what this character looks like shows that his influence on them is recent.
Fourthly, the game consistently tells us that the Ancient Hero is so ancient that the only evidence of his existence is passed down through oral traditions and wall paintings, so why would anyone still have an accurate portrait of them if the game straight up tells us nobody knows who the ancient Hero was?
The only reason you think that there's plenty of evidence is because you have hundreds of thousands of fans screaming your theories back at you and other theory channels who think every idea for a video is awesome and 'absolutely mindblowing(TM)'. Anyone who is mildly serious about trying to understand Pokémon Legends: Arceus has long given up talking sense into you. The people who accept Alder is the Ancient Hero are the people you've convinced or the people you've been convinced by.

I disagree with all three of these theories on 'Where is Enamorus?'. My take on it is that Enamorus likes to remain hidden from the human eye and perhaps modern Pokemon trainers simply haven't discovered her existing in Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos, Alola, or Galar yet. Keep in mind Cogita holds on to her and it is through Cogita you even know she exists, so perhaps when the day came when Enamorus is released once again, she didn't travel with the other nature incarnates to Unova (which with Unova based on New York, Winter tends to hold a greater effect the further you are from the equator) and instead travels somewhere more, between Spring-ish, which Unova, Kalos, Galar, and the new region (presumably Spain) do not have ideal climates for her to enjoy, and perhaps Alola and Hoenn were too warm for her? The point is she is a new Pokemon to us, there isn't much we would know, and Laventon making the first Pokedex documented her, which could have caused trainers to chase her legend.

    • @rikaze
      @rikaze Před 2 lety +5

So another theory is that Cogita is immortal. Which means it's not completely ridiculous to think that after the player passes away in Hisui, Enamorus is returned to Cogita. And she still has it in this day and age. Bonded legendaries don't pop up in the wild.

I was wondering what would be your take on future legends games.
And how they might might turn out.
I even had thoughts on Kanto and it having it’s own legendary trio.
I thought what if they Introduced a legend’s game were the ancient people of kanto had a big civil war.
And each side used a legendary and it is up to you the trainer to find the trio master to stop the war.
And the Trio master and the other two blast 💥 each other to the point they disappear and go into a deep slumber and hasn’t been seen since the modern day.
And over time the Modern people of Kanto forget about these legendarys because of the Focus of Mewtwo and Team 🚀.
And Oak,Giovanni and Agatha is the only one who remembers a little about them.
But really Oak from his ancestors books but pays little attention to them.
      And focuse on the Pokédex.
If they do something like this for Kanto Legends there’s a lot of potential here
Then they can do a Kanto Remake where team 🚀 finds these legendarys by stealing Prof.Oak ancestors books.
And try to resurrect the trio Pokémon.
But it is up to you and there creation Mewtwo and the help of Mew to stop them.

The idea that I was kicking around that I like (with absolutely no canon backing) is that, at some point after Legends Arceus, the player character gets their memory back (either just happens or they get Uxie/Arceus/someone to restore it) Then the PC decides to go back home and has Dialga send them back to the present. They release most of their pokemon, but a few of them decide to go with their trainer, one of whom would be enamorous.
The closest thing to justification I have for that is that modern day sinnoh seems like its treated as being colder than Hisui is. And the reasoning could be that the summer pokemon is gone. She went with you, so for however many centuries, there was an imbalance.

  • @theautisticcreative2619
    @theautisticcreative2619 Před 2 lety +3

It might be because she's the embodiment of love.
She must have lost power because love was lost in after the events of Legends Arceus. As I think Legends was before the great war and the use of the ultimate weapon.
The use of the ultimate weapon and its use was void of love as well as the great war was void of love. Thus she loses power and she went away into hiding.
I'm thinking to tie this theory into SV knowledge (something I believe is the theme of the game and the starters) you have to use knowledge to bring back love to the world.
You have to travel the region to stop a new war from happening and bring love into the world using the good knowledge you've accumulated.
Where as the evil team will use bad knowledge to start a war, their leader becomes champion and in my theory uses the Firestarter as he travels as it evolves into a Fire/Dark biblical snake (representing evil knowledge)
While the rest of the region will try to trick you.
The Grass starter would evolve into a sabretooth leopard werecat (both bipedal and quadruped) so it can write and run on all fours using it's magic to attack, help and protect. Grass/Psychic
The Water starter could evolve into a chimaera that tricks people into disappearing. Becoming Water/Ghost.

Enamorous is a Force of Nature. She is also presumably the 'embodiment' of love.
Putting them together implies "the Love of Nature" either humans loving nature, or nature loving humans.
Modern buildings? Pollution? Mass deforestation? Does that sound like humans loving nature? Or conducive to nature loving humans?
I believe she's either in hibernation until humans and nature learn to love each other again, or moved somewhere that humans have a more 'natural' way of living.
