Then watch as the solution created by those politicians makes another more costly problem as a result. The end result: the first problem isn't solved and now another problem exists that needs solving as well. If you love more government solutions for all of our woes, then you are supporting an Elitist knows better than me approach that has never produced a working solution. More government always leads to more problems. History is chock full of examples of that hypothesis.

    What if they offered an anonymous incentive for reporting street takeovers that result in arrests/tows? With the amount of people that usually show up surely a handful of them are broke enough to consider turning on each other every time one of these pop up. These guys have a sense of community that unites them vs the law. Their trust in each other is fragile though, it's just a huge crowd of random people with a handful of more well known ones among them. After a bunch of times of them getting ticketed, arrested, towed and knowing someone among the crowd is getting paid for their downfall. I feel like they'd get wary of drawing such huge crowds of randos, or inviting the whole internet. Even if they do shrink their take-over size, they'd be easier to dismantle in smaller groups with just their more "trusted" attendees present. If they offered a big enough incentive for reporting; definitely it would get one of the attendees to do it, someone in those massive crowds is hungry enough, got kids to feed, is jobless, an addict, dgaf about anyone else there, wants more car parts, needs to pay rent. It's a small price to pay compared to the damage, danger and havok they wreak. idk just throwing a random idea.

      @multiverse191 Před 2 lety

      @@eltanoster yea, but that solution is more of the same that's been happening, cops catching and ticketing people hoping it discourages them from doing it again, what I was proposing is that we turn all of these street takeover people on each other, introduce some internal conflicts and risks for them, which right now, they don't have any as a group, it's just them vs the cops. If they went with the idea I proposed, gathering a large crowd would become a risky play, as someone among them can just get paid for dispersing it and having the police show up and they need tickets/tow/arrests to get paid, so someone has to go down. Having an undercover do it, would still keep the same narrative as "Them vs cops" but having their own peers do it, that's gonna give them some trust issues among each other about organizing another takeover lol

    Have a temporary roadblock before you enter the bridge and let people go slowly over it, may take long but it will stop people from going there for no reason which will lower traffic a lot.
