  • I like to paint in many layers but sometimes this puts the painting into a dark image. This week I came upon the idea to add real gold on the watercolorpainting. I covered it as a final layer here and there and it lit up the painting with sparkling details.

The gold is great, but the ultramarine for me is the eye opener. It really vitalizes the grey area. Very nicely done.

At a certain moment, I held my breath 🤗and thought “what is he going to do now “… and I love the result! The lapis azul color ( ultramarine) and gold is a perfect combination, thanks for sharing it!👏🏻

Your art is truly good and has a lot of integrity. I get sick of utube with painters on there more interested in a business plan and their focus is on worshops on utube and pushing inferior art onto people. You are not like this and its refreshing.

Dark pictures with dark colours can be really beautiful artworks - nevertheless, this picture with all your later additions, splashes, the gold vibrations and other stains - also with this cutout/limitation from the building ist this whole picture now something special. Enchanting 😊

Ultramarine and gold, like in Middle Ages’ books, in an impressionnist style. Your bold step is a success !

It was a good maneuver to use gold leaves in watercolor painting, maybe this was the first time I witnessed this art thought. However, I think if you put the gold on some parts of the building instead of through it here and there, it may be more convincing since some historical buildings have gelded balconies or windows. Just an opinion !! but I love the move, thanks for sharing.

Very lovely Titus! I have tried using very gold on paintings and it is really and for some rulers like Herod Agrippa 1, one was so haughty that he accepted the homage of God and was eaten by worms. The people were overcome be what skilled artists did. Amazing eh? Just leave me out of the gold.😊

Muy interesante este trabajo, sobre todo el uso de oro !! Me gustaría tener una visión de la totalidad de la pintura en una toma fija para apreciarlo más.
