I too have watched this movie a number of times. After watching this video, every actor and actress complimented their parts and don't think no other actors or actresses could have done their parts any better. Cousin Vinny has to be one of the most funny, serious, believable comedy I've ever watched. Pesci and Tomei just shined through this whole movie.

I have watched this movie many times and will watch in many more. Marisa Tomei is stunning and a great talent. Joe Pesci is also such a great talent. That movie should have won best picture, best Actor and Actress. This movie is as perfect today as it was when it came out and one of those movies that will last forever. Such great writing, directing and acting. It's lightning in a bottle. With all the additions of special effects and now AI, you may never see this complete quality in a movie again. And if it's the last one, it was a great way to go out.
I just don't see anyone that will replace them in the future, so I'm glad we have them now for our present.

One of my favorite comedies at that time. I has a huge crush on Marisa Tomei too! I agree, Marisa knocked it out of the park and was deserving of the Oscar! She and Pesci were born to do the movie!! I was surprised to hear that they tried to cut Marisa from the movie! I'm glad the director's will prevailed!!

Wonderful movie. Tomei's performance was Brilliant, almost carrying away the film. Pesci also delivered brilliantly. And the late Fred Gwynne didn't miss a beat. When there's that much excellence throughout the cast, that points to superb directorship as well. This is reminiscent of 2 other comedic classics of that era; Midnight Run & Get Shorty. Treasured classics, all!

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Marisa Tomei gave one of the best performances I have ever seen. I have watched that movie countless times and her timing is so flawless it blows me away - every time! I had no idea she won an Oscar for this performance until recently (24/03/12) - I just thought she was so into that character it impressed me no end.
Plus I have a huge crush on her, but that's another story... ;-)
I also had no idea about Joe Pesci's background. Turns out we were both born in Newark a few years apart and lived 2.5 miles apart. I'll bet anything my father knew all the members of those bands - he and his family had (and still have some) music stores in the northern New Jersey area. Who knew I'd be a huge Four Seasons fan for years? My father never really talked about the famous performers who were his customers.

Of course, she DIDN'T help solve the case because of her knowledge of cars. It was Vinny who saw her photo of the skid marks who then HIMSELF realized the problem (and Mona clearly HADN'T realized the issue -- even after taking the picture). It was handy to have her testify -- but Vinny didn't need her, strictly speaking, because he himself had figured it out, and could have coaxed it out of the FBI expert, if that was all he had.

Never have I liked Pesci, or his characters, especially those for director Scorsese. But he was the perfect choice to play Gambini in 'My cousin Vinny'. For once he wasn't a 'wiseguy' sticking a pencil in someone's neck. IOWs, he had to maintain civilized behavior uninterrupted with violence. The script was made for his Italian neighborhood personality. Tomei's choice as Mona Lisa Vito was perfect as well i.e. they complimented each other so brilliantly.

Hats off to the creators and the casting team. I can't imagine anyone else as Vinny, and Marisa is a beautiful and talented actress who could never be cut from the movie, and have the movie reach those heights. Her ragging on Gambini highlighted his inexperience and insensitivity which made him look even more convincing as a New Jersey legal novice. it makes want to watch the movie right now, again!. After watching Marisa in films like Wild Hogs and Guru, I must admit having a thing for her. The director's intuitive talent to add to Marisa's role and keep in amusing accidents took the film to another level. Marisa deserved her oscar because she truely supported the lead, and Joe was wrongly overlooked, and the Movie itself

Morisa Tomei has under sold as an actor most, if not her entire career.
    Her agent is lousey.
Give us more hot & sexy Tomei!!!
    Instead we get political morons.
She has a sweet & sassy demeanor. We were robbed America! Robbed of her potential!!
When resurfaced a year or two before her spiderman bit I was like, wow!
Where has she been since 2000?
Holleywood is too full of itself today. I attend the movie theaters less, buy into their switching media hype; oh this is better than that! Oh Oh this is now so much better.
DVDs are all anybody on a budget should ever need, if not streaming.
I personally hate anybody in my business. I love my privacy.
This movie was undersold too, by the way. This is the 1st time I've heard the title of it. I recognized some clips. I never even knew Morisa was in it.

But I have to say, Pesci should have won an Oscar--if for no other reason than being able to spew all that legal mumbo-jumbo accurately with a Jersey accent. Some of those words and phrases are true tongue-twisters, even for someone who has had elocution lessons. Another movie that I enjoyed was The Perez Family. It was a comedy that didn't get much attention. Marisa Tomei acting skills really shined in this movie. It had a happy ending because of her. She became a diamond in the rough.
