Hi Lady D I see this video was made 3 years back but I'm just seeing it You are so Great at showing people like me who are visual learners how the process works & should be done so it is a must for me to subscribe to your channel
Thank you for sharing this information I seen one where the person put some clear contact paper on the mat sticky side up under the leather and it came out on the contact instead of the mat
For leather on the Cricut I put the clear shelf liner onto the back of the leather and the put it on the Cricut mat. Really saves the mat from getting loaded up with the suede off the leather
Love that. Wish I had one. I have a Scan n Cut and I don't know if it can do that. I like the set up and everything better on yours. Thanks for the great video.
If u iron wax freezer paper or wax paper to the back of the leather it will act as a stabilizer and u won’t get the leather fuzzy it’s on your mat and probly won’t have to tape the leather down with a sticky matt
Off Topic: Hi Debby, I have a question about your Odicoat sampler you showed a video a while back, but I couldn't see a followup on it. Do you have any opinions about the Odicoat now? Have you continued to use the product? Can you recommend the product for use in place of a PUL Fabric? Also, could a person use the product to produce and make for themselves a pair of period panties, or period pads? And could I use Odicoat to line my sandwich bags? Do you know is it food safe? I did see in your comments the Msds sheet info was there and encouraging. Thank you for reply. Hope you are well. and super busy building us a new video
How often would you say you’d have to change the blade after cutting lots of letter? Say like 3. 12x12” sheets of leather with random geometric shapes cut out of each sheet.
There are too many variables to consider for me to answer your question... I haven’t had to change my blade yet but I will watch for it to have a difficult time cutting, or if it pulls the leather instead of cleanly cutting it.
May I ask what machine you used to stitch around the applique area? It is so even and perfect! And I just ordered mine!! Thank you for the tutorial and would appreciate any recommendations for learning/instruction.
Couldn't you just first back the leather with some of that transfer tape, and then stick that to the mat? Just wondering. I don't even have. a Cricut; I just ordered one, but have been watching videos for days
@@DebbyHunker Straight to the point will do. No offense though, I find it cute how women go into details we don't. Great video and pleasant voice. Thanks!
I'm not exactly sure how long this cut took... The video was done 3 years ago. If I had to guess, it was probably 10-15 min. It's a process that takes time and patience to do a good job.

Thank you for this. Because I am new to this, I don't know how you got your project from the cut stage to the final stage.
Thank you Debbie. Great information!
Thank you for this. I am getting a Cricut maker soon, and I want to use it to cut pieces for bag making 😊😊

I am feeling motivated to try mine. Thanks!
Thank you for the tutorial. 💗💗💗

Thanks for a great video. Is the software you are using the online version only software?
They both work the same way,but I was using the off-line version.

what is the name of the fabric you made the Alana purse out of the dark blue with butterflies. I've looked everywhere. thanks so much. Ruby Benn
I believe it’s a Cotton & Steele piece. I bought it from Emmaline Bags.
What software did you use to export the pdf to a jpg
I have a Mac and I used “Preview” and exported as jpg.

I have a Titan TN650BL compound walking foot machine that I use for my topstitching. I just go around very carefully and stitch.
How do you tell it to cut the leather 4 times?
It does it automatically when you set it to the correct leather setting.
Couldn't you just first back the leather with some of that transfer tape, and then stick that to the mat? Just wondering. I don't even have. a Cricut; I just ordered one, but have been watching videos for days
Did I miss something? I wanted to see appliqué process??
This video was about cutting leather. I didn't do a video about the appliqué process.
Women always explain simple things in long contexts. Guys do this in 5 minutes, lol
I guess that's the difference between telling and teaching...

Has cricut gotten worse over the years?? It’s junk now and takes a day to cut these thicker materials!😡 How long was this cut??

@@DebbyHunker i would welcome 10 or 15 minutes but I tried to cut a small and simple basswood project and it took 4 hours????
