My Grandmother had a peddle operated Singer. My mom had an old Singer but sold it for a new machine that used cams to make all kinds of stitches. I learned on the old Black Singer with the funny attachment that made button holes. What I wouldn’t give to have that machine now.
Awww. Memories ❤️
I just found this one in an estate sale in the cabinet for $100 last week. It works perfectly after a cleaning and oiling! I like the thread cutter!
That’s awesome. I got mine on fb market place for $50 in cabinet and with matching stool. The downside was I had to drive out of state to get her.
Thank you so.much for your video it was a great help. I have my Nannies singer 15-90 vintage machine and I am just beginning to use it for heavy duty items. I have had it serviced and its in great shape.
That’s awesome. I have several and they are work horses!
So much good information in this video thank you so much for sharing Joanna
Your welcome 😊
I love vintage machines. Even though I don't have mine (yet) I appreciate this video.
Hopefully I will have a couple more to add to this playlist at some point. I have 7 at this moment that I fixed and have running. I love them!!
@@JoannasDIYLife Wow! That's wonderful you have a great collection. I don't have much storage.space. The one I'm waiting on is a late 1800s New Home treadle that belonged to my grandmother (my profile pic). I just need to have it shipped 2500 miles.
@@karin0963 oh wow! That’s so cool.
Thank you. Helped me get an old singer going again.

That’s awesome !
Thanks!!
Very interesting 🧐
Hello Joanna I have a question for you what color is the dental floss that you use to create your pumpkins and where did you get it from question mark and technically I guess that's two questions sorry. On camera it looked dark I really want to use that pumpkin technique and I want to be able to get dark dental floss if they have it somewhere thanks for reading this
I use black from Dollar Tree and I also try to find non mint waxed from Walmart.
@@JoannasDIYLife thank you so much Joanna I thought that it was black I've never seen black before but I would look today when I was at the small one in town and they didn't have any all they had was the mint so I appreciate you telling me to try to get the nun waxed have a blessed evening
Sorry you didn’t find any and I meant to tell you it’s all waxed but not mint. But if you get mint that’s fine too because the smell goes away after a while. The non-mint is hard to find now so any will work
@@JoannasDIYLife oh okay thank you I'll be on the hunt for it I got a few weeks so to do and what I want to do so I'm sure I can find something between now and then I appreciate your help so much!
I can't find your Amazon store link. I need that thread cutting attachment for my machine
It is in my description box. But let me see if I can link it directly.
