SEAT’s best-selling Ibiza supermini was given a mid-life facelift last year, with the addition of subtly revised looks, new kit and new engines.
Alongside that, the Ibiza now gets LED daytime running lights as standard, a new touchscreen infotainment system and more, but is it good enough to keep up with class-leading rivals like the Ford Fiesta?
Constantly updated, Car Keys provides first-hand video reviews, as well as all of the latest car news.
Our experienced journalists are passionate about the auto industry, and strive to provide you with all the information you could possibly need before you decide to purchase a new car.
All reviews are available at www.carkeys.co.uk/, but did you know that reviews are just one element of what we do? Our website can also help you find the right car, at a price you can be sure is fair by comparing it against prices paid by other consumers and our own market data. I have this exact car in 1.2 amazing car, comfortable and easy to drive, quite nippy as well when you put your foot down, has been relatively cheap to run averaging around 40mpg, super happy and may find myself running back to seat for an upgrade in a few years time. for now though i adore my ibiza

I have been driving a new SEAT Leon since September last year and am delighted with the car, it's a solid all rounder and of course is a VW Golf under the skin. It's in the same Alor Blue as this tested Ibiza (stunning). My wife and I also own a 2012 Ford Fiesta and thats a lovely car as well. Have to say I found the review of the Ibiza here confusing in that he was quite critical in the first half yet seemingly appraising in the later stages. What I can say is that as well as my experience of the bigger Leon I have test driven two Ibiza's being the current model and the previous model 4 years ago) and I think they are more than worth considering, after all they are Polo's underneath that skin thingy. Plus they are 'lookers' (at least in my eyes). So, I recommend Seat's Leon and I biza toanyone considering a good solid all rounder. If anyone wants more 'meat on the bones' of my Seat findings then let me know.

Interior is a massive improvement from my 15 Ibiza FR. It's amazing how just some black inserts can really make an interior look upmarket

The short answer for an Ibiza is don't buy any model less than an FR. I own at 1.2 TSI FR (2014) and it's quite well spec'd for the price in comparison to a Fiesta. - It's cheaper to begin with. - My Ibiza (1.2 TSI 105 bhp) sits at 80 mph in 5th at 3,000 revs. With the equivalent Fiesta ST (1.6T 190 bhp) sitting at 80mph at 3,000 revs in 6th! So the Ibiza is a reasonably economical car- 1.2 TSI has a 0-60 time of 9.8 seconds but in reality you very rarely go from 0-60 and the pull from 2nd gear is good for a small engine. - FR Models come with Cruise control, Sat Nav, FR Suspension (15mm lower), Alloys, etc. all as standard. However, I do agree that the new interior is somewhat of an improvement over the previous model, but the Leon is far nicer than the Ibiza interior in my opinion.

What's the song used in the intro?

+regrub15 Hi there, thanks for your comment. The song is an instrumental version of a track called "Live your dream" by the artists Bob Bradley, Matt Sanchez and Sarah Wassall. It was acquired from the library on the Audio Network. We hope you enjoyed the video.
      Thanks,
      Danny
