As of lately I don't plan ahead on these trips. Sometimes at 1am I decide to go and load my kayak into my truck by 2am then sleep for about 3 hours and wake up at 5am then head out. And sometimes I'll load my kayak the night before then sleep in and snooze/turn off alarm and never make it out. I was thinking about going to Dana Point this Sunday.
In San Pedro around the corner of the jetty on the way back. I thought it was a halibut so I was dragging it for awhile before I actually reeled it up.
