PANEL: Arlene Francis, Tom Poston, Dorothy Kilgallen, Martin Gabel
I feel so bad when Tom's jokes go for the most part unnoticed! I LOVED when he called the audience out on it at
Tom Poston is wonderful and charming, as much a class-act as Steve Allen, and makes a fine panelist. Bravo. I can see why Mr. Allen keeps him around.
Marge Champion turned 101 on 9/2/20.

Gah! one of those moments where we wish Martin and Arlene were next to each other for that exchange! "Oh, Martin! How tender!" lol so cute!
Two of my favorite guest panelists in one show.
Dorothy look lovely
"It happens down home!" Clever panel.
Nice to see a show that was broadcasted the day I was born!
I found the camera's sustained close-up gaze upon Dorothy from
This diving horse act was a favorite of WML --I can think of four times various divers with horses in Atlantic City appeared.
I absolutely love that Arlene is the only one that listens to the audience and knows that she is
Norma Dean the diver was wonderfully charming and full of life.
Martin Gabel (5'6") co-starred as Senator Stephen A. Douglas (5'4") in "The Rivalry" opposite both Richard Boone (as Abraham Lincoln) and Nancy Kelly (as Adele Douglas) opened on Broadway on February 2, 1959. The play, which, of course, revolved around the Lincoln-Douglas presidential debates, closed a little over two months later on April 18. 1959.
Dorothy's dress is stunningly beautiful! ❤️❤️
Marge and Gower Champion were certainly a cute couple. They were married from 1949 to 1973. Gower Champion died in 1980 and Marge Champion is still living at age 95. His death at age 61 came several hours before the opening night curtain of the Broadway musical "42nd Street", which he directed and choreographed. On opening night, the show went on and no one in the cast or crew had been told of Champion's death. The show was a huge success with many curtain calls and, amid all the applause and cherring, producer David Merrick came on stage and made the announcement that Gower Champion had died earlier that day, provoking gasps and screams from onstage and from the audience. Champion had been ill for some time with a rare form of blood cancer.
Miss Dean is very charismatic.
Second time Marge and Gower Champion were mystery guests. The first was 5/15/55.
The Champions were such a charming couple!
