Programming the Misty II Robot to communicate with ghosts! Parabot Mode EVP Session Trial #1

Our new Parabot (paranormal research) program being tested on the the Misty II robot by Misty Robotics. Programming by Michael Rodriguez, founder of The Web Pro, and speech by David Pierce Rodriguez of PRISM Paranormal Research, using the Google Cloud Text-to-Speech app. The in-home trial took place on 11/8/2019 in Miami, Florida, USA.
The idea behind this first trial of the Parabot app was to test simply have Misty II conduct an autonomous EVP session. Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVP) are voices of the dead, or spirits, captured via audio recording. An EVP session is conducted with the intent to communicate with spirit entities via an audio recording device then to listen back to the recording to hear if any otherworldly voices can be heard. The Misty II is capable of much more than what is being shown here. Misty move autonomously, recognize faces, create 3D maps of its environment & can localize sound.
As of November 2019, the Misty II is available for $2,899 (down from $3,200). Note that the optional Arduino backpack (which costs $149) was attached to the Misty II during the unboxing.
Misty II is part hardware and part software and is a professional grade platform robot. Using her SDK, developers can build skills (robot apps) that take advantage of her natural talents (robot capabilities) such as autonomously moving about a room; recognizing people; hearing, taking action, and communicating via third-party voice integrations; capturing photos, collecting data, and sharing content; and more.
