    Thanks for the video. I had the same problem first 10k rpm then continued to use the bike until I had the cut at 4k 5k rpm and left the bike in the garage. Just ordered the new pump and I think it will sort out mine too. Cheers

      @@MitEclipse91 yes James, but it wasn't only the pump, inside the whole black plastic there is a fucking paper filter with two sides of metal, and that part of the filter with metal was very rusted and all inside the tank too a lot of rust, I have changed all that black plastic with filter and new pump, cleaned all the rust inside the tank, my bike now runs like brand new 🏍️🏍️🏍️ cheers

    Great video, I see it's been a while since you've made that video. Obviously I have that same exact problem with my 2007 and unfortunately, there are no more cnt fuel pumps available, would you recommend another brand like kemso or something else? thx in adv

    • @MitEclipse91
      @MitEclipse91  Před 4 lety +2

      Berkin Bilge you know I don’t really have a brand preference I just got it off amazon... find a pump with a warranty on it and rebuild yours... very very easy and cheap

      @@MitEclipse91 in that case, it shouldn't make any difference, if it would be a no name chinese brand, like yammer haw's Kemso, right? Let's try that one... Thx for the respond...

    At .24 secs you refer to the "plastic piece." Mine is black on my '04 ZX10. Can't see thru it like your white one. I've wondered what that thing is for? Does it have a filter in inside? This ZX is the first FI bike i've owned and it's been nothing but a pain in the ass with many things. First bike i've owned i regret buying!!!

    • @MitEclipse91
      @MitEclipse91  Před 4 lety

      it does not have a filter in the black piece, the filter is on the bottom of the entire fuel pump housing looks like a white (ish) sock, so it sorta in a way is in the black piece... just pull out the chrome fuel pump housing and it should be on the bottom..
      and sorry to hear about you bad experience, i currently own a 2017 zx10 and i love every bit of it..you can pm me on facebook if you want with pictures or questions...

      @@MitEclipse91: I've had the pump out and cleaned the filter (which looks like a tea bag, but thicker material). Now i think fresh fuel and FI cleaner has loosened some gel/gunk inside fuel pump and/or black box because previous owner may have let bike sit for a while. There's no filter AFTER gas comes out of tank to fuel injectors. Bought a Eldebrock solid alum. fuel filter today. Has some sort of filter inside that's like a porous stone. Thought of installing it in fuel line, but fuel pressure is 44psi on ZX10. Filter should be okay, but concerned it may blow off the line and spray fuel. My ZX11 external fuel pump pressure is approx 5 psi. It has carbs, not FI.

      @@MitEclipse91: If you care to view: Edelbrock 3" Aluminum Street Fuel Filter In Red Finish" Part # 8139 - on Edelbrock's website. Says it's for carbureted engines. Doesn't show a pic of the odd looking filter. Would like to install some sort of filter in case more gunk loosens and clogs up injectors and have to clean them bastards again!! I'm concerned a filter with some type of mesh inside would get blown apart by the high fuel pressure and end up in the injectors. The Edelbrock filter looks like it could be metal that's coated with some kind of grit that makes it look like a course stone, like 80 grit sandpaper. The filter also screws apart for cleaning or replacement. See no need to replace unless coating were to fall off.

    • @fzr1000981
      @fzr1000981 Před 2 lety +1

      Wrong, the black plastic piece contains a secondary filter

      @@fzr1000981: Maybe that's why i can't make this FI pain in the ass 2004 ZX10 run right. Commenting to my above posts: On a lathe, i made a fuel filter that fits from the Edelbrock. Bike would spit and sputter above approx 4000rpms. Took it off, then it would spit and sputter above approx 6500rpms - as it was doing b4 the Edelbrk filter... Then it looked like the fuel pressure regulator was being pushed out of its socket. The white plastic bracket that holds it in place was not made too well and i suspect it wasn't staying hooked in its catches. I made a bracket from alum., drilled and tapped four 4-40 holes in the black resevoir and screwed it onto the resevoir. Bike ran like a finely tuned racebike for about 5 mins. Then 2 days later, the fucker wouldn't even start. I'm thinking about selling this FI FUC#KING pain in the ass for parts and will NEVER, NEVER, NEVER make the mistake of buying a PAIN IN THE ASS Fi bike again!!! New OR used!!
