    It’s comical how hard they try not to mention battery swap when everything they say indicates it’s the best solution. They would rather advocate for reinstating child labour over a Chinese solution :)) yeah you should totally trust them with your investments

      @ckoersel Před 20 dny +7

      Does matter how “AMERICAN” it is… how AMERICAN is our current administration?!?!?
      How AMERICAN is naked shorting?!?!
      Everything our govt & Wall Street cats do is out to repress those of us who are trying to invest in the BEST solution to better ourselves and make life changing money.
      It’s ridiculous
      They can’t keep NIO down forever…
      When they hit profitably in the near future… it’s game over for the shorts - NIO 🚀🚀🚀🚀

      Agreed and this Ark investing tag line is about environmental disruptive tech that's good for the planet and sits well with moral investing???. Nope!

    ARK is just a Tesla marketing firm. I have no clue why some think Tesla can do no wrong.
    Teslas downfall will be their stubbornness to take advantage of technologies they did not invent
    This was a pathetic discussion.

    Imagine using robots at super chargers to plug the cars in.. some areas would need to have them on chains so they didn't get stolen by a pikey scrap van 😂

  • @jduioe
    @jduioe Před 19 dny +7

    So hard for them to have an intellectually honest discussion 😂 I love Tesla but the guy on right (Nick) asked an important question that no one ever answered. Human attendant = oh the irony, Optimus bot = at least a few years out, wireless = inefficient, robotic arm = seems like the best compromise at this point. At the end, I wish they’d just be honest and admit swapping is the way to go.

  • @Endureil
    @Endureil Před 20 dny +16

    All I heard was bottleneck when this reaches mass scale :P I think Nick was trying to hint "battery swap" and they seemed to avoid to mention it even as a possibility.. So therefore I'm going to put my cards on battery swap, otherwise they could have openly dismissed it..

    I just can't see past battery swap for robotaxis/autonomous driving. It's the only real, sensible and currently working solution. But...In answer to your question I think there are only 2 other options. Wireless which would require huge infrastructure build out plus you have the efficiency and time issues which is in a sense going backwards technology wise, so I can't see that as an option. The only other way is an automated process to join the superchargers to the vehicle. This would be either 1) via Optimus - a huge waste of resource and not a viable solution, 2) updated superchargers - huge infrastructure build out investment. Again not viable or 3) old skool human to attend the superchargers, which is easy to implement and cheap but a laughable solution I think.

    Their thinking was that robo taxi would evolve to the point where people would buy a car and recoup their investment by letting other people use their car when they don't need it. Personally, I have doubts that the vast majority of people would let strangers use their car even if they made some money doing so for various reasons mentioned. I believe that concept is pie in the sky thinking. I believe that only people with a serious business interest would purchase these vehicles for robo taxi purposes. So, these people would invest in whatever gave them the best bang for the buck. They would probably have a fleet of vehicles to sell the robo taxi services much like Wamo and the like are doing now. And the type of charging that would be deployed would depend on how many vehicles that they had in their fleet. There may be some of people that are doing the Uber thing now that own just 1 vehicle and they would just charge the vehicle at home at end of the day or when convenient. They won't have a large investment in charging, but probably won't be very competitive and serious about the concept. Robo taxi companies will have a more efficient business model and will invest in a charging platform that will give them an advantage. In the US, they might adopt the Ample company's swapping stations which are expandable to suit the needs of fleets of various sizes. I don't see the need for robots in these situations as 1 person could easily handle that charging task. There are lots of risks related to the robo taxi concept and those that intend to adopt this business model better have a good insurance policy, security systems and lawyer.

    That ark lady is a crazy zealot. She makes cathy look sane and reasonable. This is why there's no point worrying about Tesla stock- there's no business truths here tomlraen from. It's almost entirely fanboy driven, both retail and pro investors.
