Yep...Brenda may have been dramatic and over the top at times but honestly when the whole triangle thing happened, she handled it all very maturely. Brenda could have made scenes and could have been way worse but she handled it with dignity even though her whole world shattered, ultimately changing her character for the remainder of the show. I know for a fact and from experience I would not have handled this situation the same. Whatever people think of brenda, she should get props for sure.

When it came to Brenda, Kelly always took a backseat and she knew. Thats why she always got so jealous about it. I mean Kelly says it herself. At that time in the series, she thought Brenda would always be remembered as the great love of his life and even though she had him she didnt think they were forever. He was really upset with her for a time but I think when he noticed the mistake it was too late cause that’s how the writers kept punishing Shannen cause she wanted Brenda and Dylan together.

The thing about K/D, even me being a B/D fan I am not blind, they did have a lot of passion steming from lust but Kelly was so insecure with Dylan that it was never fitting for them to be together. Even in S10, when they are reconnecting, Kelly tells Dylan she will always be afraid he will drop her for another women, or for anything really. There was never any trust with reason and that prevented them from being what to me BD had.

She had no choice, as, if she had continued complaining, glaring and showing the stink-eye when Kelly and Dylan are fooling around, the 'cool friends' like Donna and Steve would have distanced themselves, as Brenda would have been deemed as whiny and 'not fun anymore'-- even her brother Brandon would (shameful since he is her brother after all). In teen years and even early adulthood, 'friends' tend to be selfish and gravitate towards the 'winners' in such situations, as it is not their sanity, hurt or pain that is at stake; all they care about is 'being cool' and having 'fun.' Here, Kelly and Dylan are the 'winners and Brenda is the 'loser.' The loser has to swallow his/her pride and get along with the 'winners' if they want to keep their 'friends.' Sad! Even in S10, when they are reconnecting, Kelly tells Dylan she will always be afraid he will drop her for another women, or for anything really. There was never any trust with reason and that prevented them from being what to me BD had.
I hate Dylan and Kelley together. All they did was fight. They are not compatible. Kelley was stupid to date Dylan (which didn't last anyway) and betray a good best friend like Brenda. My opinion. I Don't think the two of them together at this meal was a good idea to begin with. I can imagine how unconformable their fight made everyone else at the table feel.

I agree with you on one point. I HATE it when a couple isn't written to their full potential. I personally think the writers portrayed Delly to their full potential, but I understand where your coming from as a fan. I personally HATE couples that pop together without any real build up. Whats worse is that all my favourite couples have major buildups, only to be ruined in a span of 2 episodes. Ridiculous.

Yep, Dylan got his Karma when Kelly left him for Brandon ( his BFF) and Kelly got hers a lot because not only did Mr saint Brandon cheat on her for a one night stand, lol Karma always came back to Kelly, she always had bad relationship Karma AND still karma is biting her because even after everything including a kid, Dylan's heart still isnt 100% there. He may claim he wants to be with her but he still wont move back to BH in the spin off and then after visiting with him, she came back soo HAHA

OMG Dylan and Kelly are BORING and IRRITATING. They made Season 3 suck and Season 4 was only good when she and Brandon fell for each other.
They were so repetitive, irritating, extremely annoying, pathetic and boring - there is nothing in this relationship. It was a show about beautiful people lol But, for me, it was always like a crooked picture frame on the wall that you desperately wanted to straighten. It certainly didn't make her ugly. *Lesson: NEVER have Kelly as a friend or girlfriend, or you will risk her betraying you horribly and gaslighting you, i.e. BLAMING you for it.* E.g., she stole Brenda's boyfriend Dylan, went steady with and then cheated on Dylan with Brenda's brother Brandon. In both cases she blamed the person she hurt, and made it out like it was their fault, when they retaliated. On that note how gross is it for Brandon to date Kelly, the girl who stole his sister Brenda's boyfriend? I will not go into any more commentary-- use your imagination-- how gross that sounds.
One more thing, notice how Brenda eventually 'forgave them' and came back around to the group? She had no choice, as, if she had continued complaining, glaring and showing the stink-eye when Kelly and Dylan are fooling around, the 'cool friends' like Donna and Steve would have distanced themselves, as Brenda would have been deemed as whiny and 'not fun anymore'-- even her brother Brandon would (shameful since he is her brother after all). In teen years and even early adulthood, 'friends' tend to be selfish and gravitate towards the 'winners' in such situations, as it is not their sanity, hurt or pain that is at stake; all they care about is 'being cool' and having 'fun.' Here, Kelly and Dylan are the 'winners and Brenda is the 'loser.' The loser has to swallow his/her pride and get along with the 'winners' if they want to keep their 'friends.' Sad!
That said, once we reach late adulthood, we have no qualms blasting the betrayers and those 'fake' friends who support them and willingly distancing ourselves from the entire toxic mess. *As adults, we realize that having genuine friends and peace of mind is more important than having so called 'good-time Charlie friends' to hang out and being 'cool.'* Any thoughts or comments?
