Hello Miranda, there must be something in the air as I am in Agatha Christie mode too. I have been listening to “A Murder is Announced” whilst knitting a fairisle vest! Incredible! Though I too love hot chocolate, I have been into the Hershey’s one and follow the recipe on the tin and its just divine. The simple pleasures of autumn. I must say that I loved all of your cards and pop up decorations and feel very inspired to get one for myself. Thank you for a lovely catch up with all your favourites. ❤
Thank you for another inspirational 'Favourite Things' vlog, i do absolutely love all your videos, but the FTh ones are perhaps my favourite, they are so varied. Will definitely look for you next month in Simple Things mag. I received 'Now and Then' on pre order last week and agree it is just divine. I laughed at your sirloin story. When i started learning to cook, just after i got married, i decided to cook a casserole from scratch, fondly imagining my new husband's expression of delight when i pulled the steaming dish from the oven. The recipe told me to dissolve 1 stock cube in 1/4 pint of water, and pour over the meat....... as the recipe called for 2 pints of water, i earnestly dissolved 8 stock cubes and poured them over the meat... result: one inedible casserole. I like to think i have improved a little in the intervening 32 years! X

Beautiful new outfit from Seasalt, I do love the prints and quality of their clothes. I treated myself to a Roger de la Borde forest creatures Advent calendar last year and most likely will do the same this year, as they make such beautiful decorations. Thank you again for a lovely update on your favourite things.
Little Women is my very favorite book! I do prefer the 1995 film version best. The costumes are all copies of originals and the actors wore actual underwear from the period which makes all the difference in how they fit! I’m a seamstress so my sensibilities run in that direction! Love your channel. ♥️📚
Another lovely vlog with lots of lovely links to explore! I too heard an owl on my early morning dog walk the other day and it was just magical. Thank you so much for all the work you put in. Having followed you for a while, I realised that I had completely forgotten how much I loved "The Twins at St Clares" which were the books that really got me into reading - I have now revisited them with such joy! I also love the sound of the mushroom recipe - although I am not vegetarian, I really do enjoy vegetarian meals. Have a wonderful birthday when it comes. x

I use to order some stationary from the U.K. many yrs. ago. Then it got too expensive and the shipping too costly. We have very similar tastes and interests. Greetings from the U.S.!

Have a wonderful birthday week Miranda! Those cards and stationery are so beautiful. I love Ina Garten too, her recipes are always incredible. I made her pumpkin cakes for my work colleagues this week and they loved them! The weeknight bolognese is gorgeous, I haven't made it in a while actually, I'll have to get the recipe book out. Do you enjoy just sitting and reading cookbooks? I love reading through Ina's and have a few Tessa Kiros books too which are gorgeous to read too.
