- Rambo is an 8-year-old German Shepherd living in the Pacific Northwest.
Here's a glimpse of how I spend my day off with Rambo. We had the pleasure of meeting up with my friend Helen and her gorgeous Poodle, Oakley, for a brief hike.
In this video, you'll notice that Rambo is wearing a muzzle. He is muzzle trained and wears it during our hikes to ensure that off-leash dogs or humans don't invade his personal space, as he's not particularly fond of such encounters. Both Rambo and Oakley are in the process of learning how to forge a friendship. They are like two awkward introverts figure out how to be friends.

Oh Wow! I've so enjoyed watching a day in the life of Rambo!! That's so lovely, when Rambo was enjoying the yoghurt and took the bowl back! Watching you all on the hiking trail was lovely with your friend and her lovely doggie!! It was fantastic seeing it end, with Rambo's favourite thing, wonderful water moments! It looked an awesome day for all!! ❤❤

Amazing video. Rambo is such a sweetheart. The bond between you two is amazing! Also it shows how much you take care of Rambo. I also noticed one thing, that he was a bit reactive towards the other dog. It’s the same with my dog, she drags me around the same way as I’m not a very strong person. So we are training really hard to teach her not to care. 😅we have some progress. Really love your videos, also it would help a lot if you can share some tricks and advices for senior dogs because my girl is also aging, just want her to live longer healthy and happy. Also Rambo, thank you for your hard work too ❤
Hello friend! Rambo is also dog reactive. That’s why you see he’s wearing a muzzle because hes learning lol How old is your pup? I will share some ideas for conditioning exercise.

Why the muzzle? Your German Shepherd seems pretty chill. Is it because of potential conflicts with other dogs?
Yes. He’s really chilled with people and dogs he know. But he’s not when he doesn’t know them. He likes to use his teeth. And we were hiking with a new dog
I love dogs more than anything more than cats but cats are pretty cute too

Why does he have a mouth guard on
Thank you for asking! He’s learning how to interact nicely with his poodle friend l. This way we keep everyone safe and he can learn. He can bark, drink, eat with the muzzle on. The only thing he can’t do is bite 🐊

@@richiefoster6685I understand :) but if you look at it from a different perspective, the muzzle actually gives Rambo a lot more freedom to explore and learn
Why does he have a muzzle on?
He is not comfortable with other dogs and could get really bitey. On this hike we hiked with a new dog friend. The muzzle gives him the opportunity to learn
