These dogs are so loved and so well behaved. I had Lupo and Bella, both GSD's, years back when I was married and they were no where near this well behaved so credit where it's due.
training and attention when they're pups. lots of attention if they're older and less trained. regardless, treat 'em with Love and they'll be loyal to you till they die.
I'm impressed how brainy and intelligent they are. I have always wanted one but I live in a flat I haven't got a house with a spacious yard.I hope I could have one in future.
They are wonderful in a unit! I live in a 2 bedroom apartment with a GSD (2 yrs so far), and it's totally fine. Make sure the dog learns your house rules and be prepared for daily vacuuming (they shed like crazy). Have a dog trainer help you get it right from day one - very important - find a balanced dog trainer and be prepared to spend time on your GSD. This applies to living in a unit or otherwise, don't let people tell you that you can't have a large breed in a unit, they're dead wrong, and if anything you're forced to properly train and better care for dog than if it was left outside all day.

This video got 8.5 million views and counting, I remember watching your first few videos to help me get over losing my beloved gsd and it was only a couple of hundred views at the time. I had a german shepherd named Tom, I didn't train him, he trained himself, he was unbelievably intelligent, he was my everything until he died.. He had a very serious fever, his temperature was 102 degrees, so we called a vet who lives nearby, so the vet came immediately. He pushed an injection on Tom, 10 minutes later he died. The reason he died was that the injection had expired months ago. After knowing this i couldn't control myself, I couldn't bare any more anger, I let out all my rage on that vet. And it still shocks me to this day. Tom will always be in everyone in our family's memories...

Healthy coat, not over weight, active lifestyle, calm human in control! The GSD is a little smaller but has the same physique and temperament as mine. Practically the perfect breed.

Shadow is a really lovely calm sweet natured shepherd, they're not all like him, his breeders did a great job with the temperament. And you with the training, exercise, love and time put in. Nice to watch your journey with him :)
Both my German shepherds are so well trained. Me and my son trained them ourselves. They love learning new stuff all the time and keeps their brain active. Love my evening cuddles with them on the sofa infront of the tv.. ❤️

My boy was highly reactive, always was and l had many trainers and behaviorists out for him but each had their methods and their own training techniques.. which got me thinking how confusing it must be for my boy if l was so confused by it all. I dumped everything and taught him what l expected from him and rewarded him for it. It was a game changer for us. My highly reactive boy now walks so calmly off lead, around people and other dogs its amazing. He's still very wary of strangers around me though and is fiercely protective of me but l like that in him. It makes me feel very safe. My female was a rescue from Serbia and is a little Diva. Took me 2 years to perfect her training because she was not treat or toy motivated whereas my boy would do anything for either. I even taught him a few hand gestures techniques so can get him to respond without having to talk, so sit, down, stay, come. Hes just turned 8 and still learning. Yours is young yet, beautiful and so much potential ❤️

Those are a couple of really good looking dogs you've got there. The boxer is a beauty with a terrific disposition and Shadow is such a typical German Shepherd. I've had two of them, the second one's name was...ready for it? Shadow. He went under a bush the day I brought him home and I couldn't even see him in the shadows....thought it was a perfect name at the time. I trained that guy pretty much to the hilt, they're just incredibly bright dogs who will do anthing you ask of them if you can get the message through. It's a real joy to train them and makes for a well behaved dog you can take darn near anywhere. They're just the best and Shadow is a very hansome fella. If I were to get another one, I'd name him Canine, think that would be a great name for a GSD.

If you haven't already get volunteer job at a dog shelter to show them you're capable of cleaning after dogs and taking care of them. It can make a huge positive impact in the way they see things but you need to do huge amount of research before getting any breed you want. For example a balanced diet of raw meat, fat, bone and vegetables are the best but raw is dangerous for humans. Gd luck hope things will go well for you.

Oh my gosh Shadow is so chill and relaxed, I had a GS, a boy too, and he was super energetic just alllllllll the time, even his elbow and hip displacia had no impact on his EXTREME levels of energy. But with shadow he's not fidgety when being cleaned and cared for and is rather calm. It's a peaceful sight, be proud hahah. Ah but German shephereds are so beautiful, always have a special place for them in my heart.
I walk a gsp as my mum doles dog walking and I help her. She’s called lexi, she’s very timid and so loving and beautiful. The first time I met her she was wary but super sweet and warmed up to me. She licked my face and would follow me. Now I only see her in the holidays but when I do she is just so happy! She hugs me and gives me kisses! Shame I am allergic to dogs so can’t get one of my own! Love this breed
German shepards have had years of bad breeding and are just a time bomb waiting to explode. I recommend belgian malinois if you like that look much safer easier to train.
Gianelli Capone alright so first of belgian malinois are easy to train i’ll give you that but WORKING LINE GERMAN SHEPHERDS are the way to go . And also german shepherds are NOT dangerous and by the way studies show that german shepherds are much safer around kids than malinois i’m not saying anything horrible about malinois i want one i’m just stating what i read and looked up online
I just started watching and he's gorgeous. I had one in the 90s I purchased from a policeman as a puppy. He was from West Germany and a wonderful dog. He passed a few years ago. I have a German Shepard, they are great with family and kids, that are also very protective of their owner which is me and my family.

And also german shepherds are NOT dangerous and by the way studies show that german shepherds are much safer around kids than malinois i’m not saying anything horrible about malinois i want one i’m just stating what i read and looked up online

I just started watching and he's gorgeous. I had one in the 90s I purchased from a policeman as a puppy. He was from West Germany and a wonderful dog. He passed a few years ago. @@VNSAW Thanks. He did live a great life. We had a blast. He was the best dog I've ever owned, and I've had several good ones. Hunting dogs mostly that doubled as spoiled pets. 😛
@@VNSAW Your's is very well mannered and he seems very calm and confident. You and your husband or partner have done an excellent job at training him. My GSD was the easist dog I ever trained, and I have trained a few to be both good pets and my hunting partner. Anyway. Keep up the good work and pet him for me. Keep the videos coming. 💝👍💝
